♂️ I feel stupid for even bringing this up. Lately I have been struggling with minor injuries and fatigue. I had tennis elbow in both arms, plantar fasciitis in my left foot, also my hip, Glute , hamstring, causing pain, tightness of my quad at insertion point all on that left side. Not sure exactly what’s causing the pain, but I believe it’s weak glutes specifically that side. Anyway I took 3 weeks off from training. Still even after that I was still hurting from all three tennis elbow, foot , and leg. I did change keyboards at work which seems to have helped the tennis elbow, I have been tennis ball rolling out my feet for 10 mins everyday which is also helping. My leg , hip hamstring, quad, problem still persists.
It hurts to walk and drive. Also hurts when I lay down and try to bring my knee to my chest. It’s like a nerve pain.

I plan on making an appointment for after I get back from a weeks vacation next week. Any advice or suggestions on glute exercises or anyone had anything similar issues?

Right! That’s been my approach, I started training at 4 days a week. Switched to 3 days a week last year. This year stayed at 3 days per week with less exercises per session, next adjustment two days a week. Lol! Gotta do what I have to I guess.

I will assume you are wearing fairly new shoes that have not broken down. Or have an old mattress that is worn out. I have found those things make a difference. As feet get older or a person weighs more an add arch support can help. Pretty much cured my plantar faucitis. May want to change the movement you are doing in the gym as wear patterns can add up.

Good call I do need a new mattress, but Shoes are new only a few weeks old. they have good arch support and I believe they have made quite a difference. I’ll try some different exercises too. Not a bad idea. Been working out at home and didn’t have too many options. Might need to stay away from squats for a while. I might just be very weak at this point. I never even really got heavy not even body weight. Anyway thank you for the suggestions.

The best thing you can do is focus on getting your pain under control first without the use of pain meds. Try yoga, ice baths, weighted blankets and physical therapy along with weekly massages and then try to incorporate better training.

Good advice

I think 10 min is too little — I usually try to spend at least 30 mins doing a combination of rolling and stretching when I’m injured. It helps tremendously.

Also good advice, I have definitely neglected some self care being beat up, but I have been working on it. Thank you
