@XKawN is 100% right, the bath is pointless and only adds an extra variable to worry about. What i've started doing lately is actually warming up the oil on its own (between 180°- 200°) and then taking it off the hot plate and adding my powder, ba, bb. Works absolutely perfect and eliminates having the powder on the burner which is one less thing to worry about.

Wondering if one of those coffee cup warmers would do the trick?

i’m assuming an electric stove top would work also if you put the beaker on the coil. does nobody have electric stoves ?

I am sure it would but you would definitely want to keep a very close eye on the temp... A lot more power there.

true that probably a good idea to get a laser thermometer in case. yeah i would just use my stove top on low if i brewed.
