Heating up crashed deca in pot of water with no bag. Did I contaminate it?

Is it ok to dunk crashed vial in warm pot without putting into zip lock bag bag prior to dunking? Did I just contaminate all my crashed vials? Good news is no more white residue on my deca. One of the vials had the cap removed.

One of the vials had a 26g Pierce is. Should I toss it? What are my risks?
Besides contamination, is there a risk of potency loss?

You should be able to tell if water got in. The oil and water will separate into a suspension...even if a very small amount went in. As long as the water wasn’t hot enough to compromise the integrity of the rubber stopper, I wouldn’t worry about it

For future reference. If you're going to use this method, submerge the vial up to the neck, no need to be 100% submerged.
