Help with basic science, re trt

This is going to sound stupid but I struggle with coming off trt mainly for the thought of getting my natural test back even though I was never above 388 natural in my life...
I think I like the idea of my hpta working, not shutting down an organ (my testes etc) and I often think it's more natural/safer than being on synthetic test...that is, why does my natural test not raise my hematocrit but synthetic does?

Anyway, I hate coming off, so my question is, doing hcg while on trt serves the same function right? My testes still work in a sense while I have extra test in me, best of both worlds I guess. Am I missing something? Should I come off or is that stupid? Not sure why I struggle with this...

Hcg will prevent or reverse your atrophy yes, I think the question is still in the air on whether they are actually producing test on their own or not.

I think the negivitive side effects of low t will far outway the negatives of lifelong TRT should you decide to come off.

Agree. I think I'll stay on. So much easier and I feel fantastic!!

Good question. Hematocrit raises/ can while on T because of the spikes one gets the few days following the injection. This is the period where T is either high normal or above the high normal range. This is also the most probable time that many side effcts can occur.
Further, even when T levels fall towards a more average level, hematocrit is still somewhat elevated due to it coming from a very high T level.
Example- you inject 100 mgs of T on monday and you get blood levels checked the following day on tuesday which shows total T over 1000 ( very high); your hematocrit may be high as well and even though total T comes down to the high 500 range at the end of the week, hematocrit will likely fall but not in conjunction with T so although it fell, it may still be slightly elevated.
Possible remedy? Lower dose T injection twice per week.
Higher doses of T does give you a higher libido and you will probably feel more manly but there is a price to pay— more potential side effects.
You can take lower dosages, have a good libido, good energy, and have very low side effects.
Trust me, having an insane libido sound great but its counter productive especially in your 40’s. Most woman dont want sex twice per day, maybe 2-3 times per week. A lot of marriages get stressed when a guy goes on T and his dosage and libido is too high. Unless your wife has a very high sex drive after having children, it can be a big issue. Any guys using high dose T and high dose is relative, many guys spend hald their life watching porn in their 40’s and 50’s and turn into perverts. Not a good thing. Thats a whole other topic though.
