Ok, a little background: I've been lifting for about a year after 3 years of Crossfit and Oly lifting and many many years of distance running. I decided to try a cycle of Primo about 6 months ago that lasted 9 weeks. I was pleased with the results but then went on vacation for 3 weeks to Central America and promptly lost all the weight I gained (i have hell gaining weight), not all i lost was muscle, but a fair amount was.
I decided to try and gain the weight (ideally, muscle although i know some fat will be gained) back naturally and upped my calories/macros accordingly. I have gained 5 of the 8 lbs back that i lost and decided this would be a good time to start another cycle. As I tolerated the sides very well last time, I increased my dosage (i used 50 mg last time, and just started with 100 mg for this round) although if I experience unpleasant or too undesirable sides I will drop the dosage. I am also upping my calories even more to balance out the anticipated increased metabolism. I am using no other steroids, although i do use HGH for anti-aging purposes (3 IUs/day this is the most i will use and may go back down to 2 IUs/day after a while--I'm still playing with this). Does anyone have any suggestions? Right now I am not worried about staying lean too much----i am naturally lean and know that I can lean out rather easily when time comes. I am currently 5'10", 145 lbs, and age 53. I lift 3 days on one day off. I currently do no cardio, but am thinking of incorporating some 2-3 days a week. Thanks in advance
 
I know we briefly chatted in posts on another board as well.... but I have a question... if your dose of 50mg worked well, why increase... stick to what worked and gave you no sides... increasing the dose, well doubling it, you are opening a window to a lot of possibilities that may not be so good... or increase it gradually... too much of a good thing isn't the best either...

Next question, if you are looking for size and have a hard time gaining, why not incorporate NPP instead of Primo? That will give you size gains, a little quicker but from what you mentioned, NPP may be a good fit for you.

As for the GH... 3-4iu is a good dose for a female for growth... 1-2iu is great for all the "fountain of youth" qualities of GH...

...so I think your plan is pretty good :)
 
NPP is acronym for ? You are proly right about the dosage I'll dial it back. Primo is what I have on hand but can get anything

Nandrolone phenylpropionate. It's a form of Deca/nandrolone with a shorter half-life.

As the awesomely attentive members above gave you the full name.... sorry I didn't give the full name....it's basically good for woman with your goals... you can add nice size with NPP and the sides are typically minimal and dose dependent. As CBS said, it's the little brother of Deca (long acting ester) as NPP (short acting ester) will be out of your system within 5 days. SO... if you notice any undesirable sides, you can back down the dose or stop completely. The sides that you may or may not get are a little acne or a little raspyness to your voice... that usually happens if you are at too high of a dose but goes away when you lower the dose or stop. For me, I didn't have any undesirable sides and with clean diet and training, NPP will allow you to make nice solid lean gains.

What I also found was that my joints felt better. Some people argue this but I believe it... I always incorporate a little NPP through the freezing winter months here and I noticed it helps me with managing the pain from injuries in my knees and back.

Dosing... I personally don't go over 50mg a week. I also split the shot into two a week. I know women who can easily handle 100mg a week and some even as high as 300mg a week. As I mentioned earlier, start low and see how you respond. NPP will kick in fairly quickly compared to Primo so it will be a totally different experience. NPP is also great to stack with other compounds like var or winny.

The length is also shorter than what you would do typically do with Primo... you can do a quick 6 week burst and see how you like it... or go longer for 8-12 weeks... it all depends what you want out of it.
 
Thanks for the info on mandolin, I mean NPP! Haha! I might try to get some of that. I did get a raspy voice with Primo, and it went away after I was off cycle, but my voice is still deeper than it was, although it has been deeper since I went thru menopause overall. When I was on Primo before I sounded like I'd been drinking whiskey and smoking Salems all night LOL! I appreciate all the advice folks. If I get some NPP should I just quit the Primo and use that? Or overlap with a low dose to start, or how to implement....Thanks!
 
thank you for the link and info. I did a bit of research on that. It wasn't really on the list for me because of the supposed strength and pronounced androgenic effects but I will definitely read the thread. I am compiling a compendium of steroids for my personal knowledge and also for my husband who is interested in doing a proper cycle. Hes been lifting for many years, sometimes consistently, sometimes not (also did Crossfit for some time), but is looking at competing next year and wants to do a proper cycle with the appropriate PCT. I know that PCT is not necessary for women.
