Hgh / Serostim Log

Howdy Fellas,

Thought I would start my HGH log. Here goes:

Serostim 3iu daily, injected sub-q. Plan on 7-9 month run at this level. Started about 2.5 weeks ago. Prior to that, ran Hyges for one month at 2-3 iu daily.

No history of AAS use. Might do a cycle in a year or so.

Stats:
Age: 37
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 181 (fasted) (173 at start of HGH six weeks ago)
Body fat: 17.8%, measured by bioelectrical impedance. See selfie below, seems like a high measurement to me. What do you guys think? And no, I don't have a fat ass, ha, ha.

Recent maxes/benchmarks:
Bench: 180x11, 190x7
Shoulder Press: 120x5
Ring Dips: 17 (after workout)
100 pushups (chest to deck, with full lockout on top) 4:30
Chin-ups: 10, with 25# weight
Back squat: 185x5

Athletic Background:
Endurance/adrenaline athlete since I can remember. Did cross fit for four years up until one year ago. Learned all the powerlifts and Olympic lifts from very skilled trainers.

Injuries:
Herniated disc L4/L5. L3/L4 show lesser signs of degeneration. Diagnosed two years ago. No pain/sciatica down leg. Numbness/tingling on center of left quad, area of about 8” long. Deadlifting is out of the question. Sumo deadlift is better, but still compresses discs causing soreness the next day. I’ve done heaps of yoga, stretching, core exercises, and daily traction via inversion table. Standing in one place for more than 15 minutes or so causes significant discomfort. This injury has caused a significant decline in my overall level of fitness and well-being. Any advice on healing this injury is welcome!

Recent Blood Work, prior to HGH cycle:
IGF 1: 212 range (53-331)
Test, Total: 428, range (250-1100)
Test, Free: 57.1, range (35-155)
LH/FSH are low, so slight secondary hypogonadism.
Other tests: Thyroid panel, B12, Vitamin D, and a few other tests. All were within range. Plan on retesting IGF-1, and test in a few months.

Diet:
Standard three full meals at about 700-1,000 calories each. Carbs 40%, Protein 32%, Fat 28%. Protein is a mix of fish, game meats, pork, lamb, chicken. Carbs mainly rice, potatoes, and corn tortillas. I sip on a protein shake with about 75 grams of protein, and two cups of whole milk. Usually consume this pre/post workout. Bonus meals are two huge bowls of rice cereal. Very easy to eat when I’m not hungry. Adding all this up gets me to 4,000 calories per day. On not as good eating days, I manage 3,500 calories. Also, quit drinking coffee and switched to green tea. Has helped my digestion as well.

Training:
Lifting 3/4 days per week. Practice adrenaline sports 2/3 days per week. I’ll post specific workouts as time goes on. I do need some suggestions on lower body lifts, as I have to be very careful squatting, and deadlift is out of the question. I think it would be best to focus on callisthenic style lower body workouts that do not overly work posterior chain.

Sides noted from HGH thus far
Appetite is through the roof
Increased drive while working out. Seemed to find that next gear.
Slight CTS and swelling of hands. Virtually no discomfort.
Increased focus and concentration. Almost like on Adderall, minus the nervous stomach.
Difficulty falling asleep. Feel slightly anxious when lying down to bed. Really have to focus on breathe to relax and then sack out.
Once asleep, vivid dreams, and not restless.
Tend to wake up a bit too early. Can usually force myself back to sleep by focusing on breath.
Even if I get seven hours of sleep, don’t feel groggy the next day. Normally I sleep 8-9 hours per night

Goals:
Increase strength and size while healing injuries and preventing new ones. Would like to get up to 200 lbs by May1st.

I encourage any input, and am having a great time thus far! I’m sure I’m leaving something out. Thanks again for the wealth of knowledge on this forum!

I did reverse hypers back when I was doing crossfit. Seemed to always make my back tight. Worth giving another shot though. Thanks for the input!

Yeah that's where I was exposed to Louie Simmons' torture device also. I can't see myself not using it now. No back injuries to date (knock on wood) but I attribute many of my squat and deadlift gains to religious use of a RH.

Did you get hurt from crossfit?

Nice. Yes and no. I was getting stronger at all of the lifts. Heavy (to me anyways) front squats tend to cause a slight rounding of my back at the bottom, which would make my back sore. Dead lifts would always cause soreness, even with moderate weight and good form. I know the form was good, as I've had trainers watch every single rep. I think the herniated discs were more of a degenerative breakdown, crossfit being the catalyst. The final straw was packing out an elk after a couple of hard days hunting. Since then, my back is always sore.

Well as they say "when playing with fire you're bound to get burned". Crossfit has a notorious way of getting you to you physical limits. Most end up unfortunately in irreversible injury.

Hope you can rehab your back. Louie invented the RH after he had back surgery and ended up breaking more powerlifting records. He also was on shitload of AAS. You can get there to if you play it smart and layoff the metcons till you buildup a solid strength base.

Demon, I use a foam roller a couple of times daily. Definitely feels good. I'll get the ball back out and crunch away. Pelvic curls on my back also feel good.

Romaleos, yeah, I've always been one to push it to the limit physically. Hucked a 45' cliff skiing 20 years ago to not a steep enough landing. Sent my knee to my jaw and chipped a few teeth. I'm sure my back got pretty compressed on that one.

Agreed, laying off on the metcons. Kipping pull-ups even hurt my back.....one of the few crossfit exercises I'm actually competitive at.

I'll look into getting back on the reverse hyper program. I'll try anything (and stick with it) at this point.

Thanks JB. I'll stick around. I plan on updating every 2-4 weeks, unless member have feedback/questions, in which case I'd respond sooner.

Senorman i think you are going about it the right way. HGH is awesome for helping with injuries. i broke my arm in 2 places a couple months ago. I want to find some hgh, but it's hard to find real hgh. I hope it works out 4 u. Keep us posted. I would like to see the gains you are going to make going 7 months

Update:

6 weeks into Seros at 3iu daily. Considering increasing dose to 3.6iu daily.

From weeks two through four, I felt comstantly wired/jacked up. Hard to fall asleep, and would wake early, completely rested feeling. That has since passed. The feeling was enjoyable for the most part, but I'm happy to have moved past that. Didn't feel like I should operate like that for ever.

I was elk hunting for five days during that time period. Super focused, and hunted very hard, killing a bull on day five. Managed to not lose any weight during the hunt, which is a huge accomplishment for me. Was covering 4-8 miles and averaging 2,500' of climbing daily.

Workouts have been excellent, slowly adding weight to lifts and feeling great.

Body weight is up about 1.5lbs to 183.5. Slow and steady gains are my goal.

Thanks again gang!
