High Cholesterol

So I had planned on starting a test C cycle, eating 4,000 + calories a day, but now after my test results and seeing my high cholesterol I'm thinking I will just go on a low calorie, high cardio diet for a few months. I was eating cartons of eggs, and drinking whole milk and shit for a long time like a dipshit, and now am concerned. Does this sound like a sound strategy prior to Test C? Open to your thoughts on all of these levels, what looks normal, not etc.

I's not as bad as it seems. I'm sure if you cleaned your diet up and incorporate a moderate, but consistent cardio program, your values would improve. Your triglycerides are on the high side as well. I would suggest take 4-6 weeks of a clean diet with cardio and get your blood work done again before starting a cycle. Test will have a moderately negative effect on your lipids. Your current HDL is good, but expect it to drop while on cycle. Think of HDL as the counter balance to LDL. Cardio is a good way to improve HDL.

Continue with a moderate cardio plan while on cycle and it shouldn't drop drastically.

if you think so, you seem to be on top all the conspiracies. since you know nothing about cholesterol. you better hurry up and get on those meds.
 
Your total there could be 196 max..
Bring your HDL up or your LDL down.. or both

Try Metamucil it will lower LDL..

Cut out all simple sugars..
take fish oil, coconut oil, turmeric, .. I don't think Niacin works

You trying to gain muscle, by just force feeding?
What you plan to eat?

his total is high, looking at HDL..

Total can be 300 if HDL is 80..
My HDL is usually 68-73... Divide Total by HDL must be 4 or less
and divide Non-HDL by HDL total should be 3 or less...

Either way, you should always try to raise HDL and lower LDL..
Fiber will lower LDL.. Not sure about its effects on HDL though.. doesn't matter

Sugar will cause the liver to produce LDL..
Cholesterol should come from food.. eggs, meat... not sugar causing
liver to make it...

Egg yolks have omega 9 and all the vitamins of the egg.
when I ate mine, I was eating 10 egg omelettes with a ton of cheese
but not a gram of carbs, with that..
after doing this for some time, my total was
something like 216 and my HDL was 68..

My doctor didn't say anything.. just that everything was good
so I said are you sure..
He said "O your cholesterol is little high"
I said.. without trying to tell him his job, it was just a reaction
to idiot people.. "Let me see that" I turned the paper in his hand
my way and said "NO, That's a great ratio"
He said "Well, yea it is" .. That was it..

So, basically I taught him something about his
job, and we moved on.. :-)

Chase the pump, and get the sugar in the muscle
and away from the liver.. I guess .. that's my theory, anyway.. seems to work..

Thanks for the reply. I picked up some Omega 3 supplements, and am going to start incorporating a lot more fiber into my diet. As far as my diet to reach 4000 cals a day, I haven't worked out a detailed plan yet, however, it will be close to top of my list. Do you have recommendations?
 
Well, my workouts are different than alot of other guys..
and I don't get more than 100g protein, from food, if that..

I am also 175-178
How much do you weigh, and what is your body fat?
 
don't believe the quacks that say that your numbers are high. do your own research, cause no one on this site knows shit about cholesterol. if your numbers are not over 300 than you do not have high numbers. don't let anyone tell you fat is bad for you either.
 
I'm about 195 lbs. Not sure on the body fat, need to buy a caliper. I'm not heavy by any means, at 6"2', but could definitely swap bf for lean mass.
