Holiday Eating and Cycling

Yesterday while stuffing my face with turkey and all the other good foods involved in Thanksgiving as well as other holiday meals yet to come. It occurred to me holycrap, I’m eating all this food and this is way too much? I’m on a cutting cycle! Is this ok while cycling? I’m curious what everyone else thinks about holiday eating.

Depends on each person man, when i'm on a cutting cycle i rarely exceed my total calories. Perhaps 500-700 for this one day but that's it. Usually it happens with Easter in my country, which is 5-6 weeks before summer.

Most of the times i fast until this one "off" meal, i eat conservatively and then fast again until next morning, or have a pretty low calorie meal before bed. I'd do the meat and eat lots of it but that's it, no desserts, no appetizers, no alcohol..

I know what i'm capable off and if i let loose i could honestly consume 10-12K calories in about 2 hours. This can mess up my progress (and my mentality) for 1-2 weeks. Off season it's different, i'd fast prior and eat a good amount of food without that many regrets, but cutting is a different story.

Just don’t eat for two days and you’ll back to even. Lol

We aren't normies, but normies gain most of their annual weight gain Nov-Dec. The rest drips in from Jan-Oct (compare monthly weight gain rate). It's how they end up 50 pounds overweight after a decade.

Moral of the story: try not to overdo it too much over the holidays, enhanced or not. Or maybe time bulking cycles Nov-Dec.
