How does Dogrcrapp compare to Hst/dual factor training?

For the last couple of years i have used the dual factor training methods and so far they have worked for me.But now a lot of people (including NPC competitors) are saying a certain Doggcrapp method is amazing.I honestly dont know much about it so i was wondering if anyone could explain and also how does it compare to hst.

It's basically Mike Mentzers Heavy Duty .. Mentzers last workouts consisted of Rest pause which DoggCrapp writes about ... Both him and IronAddict followed Mentzer workouts .. Iron was actually trained by Mentzer long ago .. They just didn't folow his diet but with Mentzer being first bodybuilder ever to get a perfect score in the Mr. Universe competition, he had to be doing something right ... When asked How Mentzer could have been growing so big and lean with his shitty diet (as they say) they always find ways to get around the question :) .. People know what they know and it'sd hard for many to except there may be a better way, because that means they will have to go back to step one and re-learn .. takes too much time and effort so they just close their minds to new ideas ... It's just easier that way .. Everyone knows that with strength comes size (with proper nutrition of course ) and nothing have ever given me the strength increases that Mentzers HD 1 has given me .. I don't believe DoggCrap takes sets to failure anymore but taking sets to falure .. CONCENTRIC failure, does something for strength that low intensity just won't do .. DoggCrapps routine is made for those who are very advanced and can't take sets more than a few or even 1 rep because of incredible pumps and burning .. That kind of work is just not the best on joints .. I prefer 6 reps to concentric failure as he recommended in his 1st book .. Low force and high intensity over high force - high intensity ... BTW just joined the gym again and going to go 1st time tonight .. very excited because this gym has a pool and speedbag which i will be using alot

and what program will you be useing at your cool gym.
pool and that climbing machine .. haven't used that since i was on ship .. Man i haven't even seen one of those in a long time but i love them for endurance. .. I am training mainly for endurance because i'm not in competition and i don't really see a need for very big muscles .. I like strength, endurance, and the Brad Pitt look :D ... BUT really that is all i want .. endurance is key for me as i am built for it, and just look so much better when i train for my type muscle fibers .. That's why i tend to always look a little better when i stop training ... Swimming kicked my ass last night but i will feel better soon enough ... I might even go to a few Yoga classes with my wife. she things i won't be able to hang and she's probably right lol .. I never tried Yoga but i will admitt that aerobics kicks ass .. We had a proffessional aerobics instructor take us through a training class in Japan, and even though we were is great shape, that class was intense .. We could all do it, but it was no joke

Ok, if that's all you want, then why do you use AS in doses that make a lot of serious bodybuilders' eyes pop out?

Grizz, as I read through this thread, I started wondering the exact same thing. MW, from that pic you posted of yourself, you look like a natural, recreational trainer. Now reading about your training style, I guess that explains your look but doesn't explain why someone would take massive doses of AAS for such long periods of time, to look the way you do.

To each his own. By the way, MW, what did your Test levels come back at?

Best regards,
MaxRep

Still pending Test levels ... This is new training for me .. I am just getting back into endurance training .. I was training for strength and cuts all year long .. Strength was crazy because of AAS so it has worked for me .. Why do i use such massive doses? because i can as i pay practicly nothing ... I am a guinea pig for the board .. didn't think there was anything wrong with that and it's not hurting me so why not .. not like i'm spending a shitload of money or wasting my time training because 30min/day 3 days week isn't much and doesn't take much out of my day ... need sleep will talk tomorrow

Last I read, IA has gone on record plenty of times saying HIT works good for a while, then completely stops producing gains.

All I ask is dont compare HIT to my methods because I dont agree with Mikes delusional and obsessive methods and I dont think they are in the least bit similiar (the guy went off the deep end in his later years). One thing that bugs the living crap out of me in this sport is people who have to put all lower volume bodybuilding programs under MIKE MENTZERS HIT METHOD, like he is the godfather of anything that is less than 8 sets per bodypart. High intensity training? Anyone worth their weight does high intensity training. With mike how do you go from being obsessive compulsive with intensity techniques (which he took way past the point of failure) too later on becoming so crazy with his stuff that he got to a point where he had people doing one straight set per bodypart once a month to prevent overtraining. My whole method is speeding up the process (frequency) while doing things (rest pause in 11-15rp ranges) to help you gain strength very fast also (progressively)----I have no idea where mike was going with his opinions. Training biceps 12 times a year? cmon

just saying that's all i want now but there was a time i wanted to be as big as you .. just came to realize, my body is not made for it .. Stairmaster swimming and hitting the speedbag are my 3 favorate exercises now .. When your hung like i am and as pretty as i am, there is really no need to be big

That's a pretty shitty excuse, 'whore. From the guy who always posts about not eating enough, joining the gym AGAIN and AGAIN(indicating sub-par workouts or even a total lay off) and how 1/2 reps are just as good as full ROM ;), I don't think it has anything to do with you're body not being made for it. I think it has more to do with you not making it for your body.

Yes your right, i am a slacker .. i admitt it .. My workouts are short but subpar? , i wouldn't say that .. So intense at times, i almost puke but that is from HD workouts .. I have known my problem for a long time now .. I am happy with how i look .. I was watching a show the other day .. O yeah was it Scrubs .. yeah that was it .. the one doc was running and workingout and he said he hates the way he looks .. He looked good but said he has to make himself believe that because that is what makes him strive for more .. Funny show but reminded me of myself not wanting it bad enough .. Besides feeling good about myself, i never had problems gettin women, was always told i was goodlooking with a very nice body and peopkle around me look good feel good about themselfs and don't workout to get big just basically stay in shape for health .. That i have always done but getting bigger ?? well that is really not what i want i guess .. I do at 1st when i start working out and i love the gym and workouts but then i just get so caught up in wanting more and more that i am not happy no matter how much i get from workouts. I feel better about myself when i am not training as a BBer because i don't worry about what i have to eat, getting in protein, missing the gym and feeling bad about it .. I was happy in the military when i was in the best shape of my life and i was 170lbs .. I got so much pussy it was crazy .. Glad i am made up of mostly type I fibers because i like being lean ... Women like abs not size and that is probably the biggest thing that kept my motivation down when i trained for size .. i'm married now so i don't look at other women but it's always nice to take off my shirt and get looks for having nice abs .. My wife always had them too and she is getting them back .. Feel better doing intense cardio over low rep heavy sets .. i need the endurance over size because i have alot to do with my son and i need to be able to keep up with him .. I always liked strength over size anyway .. Strength and endurance is what i am after now but to each his own .. You stayed with training and diet for long enough which is why guys who use AAS for recreational use piss you off .. i guess i can understand that but stop worrying about what others are doing .. just be happy with what your doing .. I stopped judgeing people because it's unhealthy for the soul .. People do what they do for their own reasons and that's fine with me .. i like you Grizz .. your a good man
