How I Sideline My acne. It works!

Hey all, fairly new member and also fairly new to aas but Im learning everyday. I thought since I cannot contribute much as far as aas knowledge I can contribute some knowledge for one of the most annoying sides of gear. First a little bout myself:

Im almost 40 and trained most my youth years but as I started getting older and life got crazier(kids, long work hours, etc..) I stopped and actually got fairly overweight and was smoking as well. Im about 6' and at one point was over 230 with like 25% bf and smoked pack a day. Well long story short, I decided to make a change before 40 and quit smoking, changed my diet and started training again. After a year I was 189 lbs and 13.5% bf and decided what the hell, time for a cycle as my test levels were rather low anyways. Now my second cycle on Test only and Im 205 lbs right around 13% bf and feel great.

Besides a few small issues with sides mainly estrogen related that I have now better learned to control, the only other side that was a big issue with me was acne. I had acne pretty bad as a teenager and even as an adult I get some acne so obviously I was probably setting myself up for a whole lot more. The first cycle I tried everything otc and was able to semi keep it under control but late in cycle my back flared the F up and pct was even worse. As a matter of fact my back never did clear up until I changed up my regime.

Now I have almost zero acne with the occasional pimple or two but nothing bad at all. So before I disclose what I use let me tell you why I think I have a better understanding and what not to use. First off my wife is a owner of a salon, make up artist and has her own line of cosmetics so I have learned so much from here and she has helped me understand acne a little bit better. She also had bad adult acne but not anymore.

I did probably what so many others do and thats thinking you have to fry or dry yourself out to get rid of acne. I tried dawn dishwashing soap, Bp 10% topical, vitamin b5, supplements from other body building sites etc....Some worked but always made my acne worse in the end. Trust me guys, none of that crap works. Dont go out and buy a shit ton of b5, dont buy any promise to get rid of acne pill, dont use dawn and tanning 7 days a week will only hide the redness but can also lead to over dry skin and make you break out worse.

The thing is, you need to not only treat the acne but keep the skin hydrated. Drying the skin will only produce more oil and lead to more break outs. So here is what I used to sideline my acne:

1-Morning and evening I shower with a non drying soap with salicylic acid. I use a special bar soap my wife designed that has charcoal, salicylic acid and some other ingrediants and it has been a godsend and my miracle soap. At some point I would love to help her promote this product as it works and its relatively cheap. But you can use a salicylic acid soap from like cvs or rite aid or your local drug store.

2-After I get out of the shower I pat dry, thats the key. Any other way of drying can and will only irritate the skin more.
3- Next I apply 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. Note that it is only 2.5%. You dont need the 5 or 10% as it is stronger but harsher and will over dry the skin which again will produce more oil in the skin and more break outs. 2.5% is plenty. You can get this at a local cvs, rite aid, etc.. Its usually labeled "spot treatment"
4- Last, you need to apply a moisturizer. This is a must to keep the skin hydrated. But the type is the most important. Most lotions for dry skin will just clog the pores and lead to more break outs. I recommend neutrogena combination skin. I go to cvs and get their brand as its cheaper and I usually get buy one get 2nd half off. This stuff is great and does no clog pores.

If you stick to this plan exactly, make sure you always shower after training and also drink tons of water it will work. Is it a miracle, no but it 100% will help. I know its hard for some guys like myself as it seems like alot of work and us guys like to get in and out but its worth it. You just gotta make it routine like brushing your teeth or whatever.

This wont work overnight and it takes sometime but It will help. The only almost miracle pill or liguid research chem would be isotretinoin or accutane. On cycle at 10mg day is semi mild and will help but this is and can be a dangerous drug and you need to educate yourself before diving into its use.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask and I can always post pics to reference the products to find at the store if needed.

The B5 works depending how bad you have it..
and I forgot to mention..
Ready? ... Crisco .. Yes, Crisco the paste.. hard shit you use to cook with..
or jerkoff with lol

My ex was a model for Ford and Elite modeling, and this is what
they rubbed on their models to get rid of pimples..

I read about drying the skin makes it worse
I know the whole deal, but alcohol works and so does toothpaste,
so I don't get it..

Glad I don't get acne either

Cresco lol. Thats crazy.

The toothpaste or alcohol is usually used as a spot treatment and not on the entire face, back or shoulders as far as I have seen. Ive actually tried both, didnt do shit.

I used to mess around with the cleanser, moisturizer and benzoyl peroxide regimen, but the amount of time it took was not worth the results. I was still prone to breakouts, and the benzoyl peroxide ended up bleaching a lot of my clothes.

The one thing that has absolutely worked for me is low-dose accutane. In hindsight, I should have done a full course of it as a teenager. At this point though, low-dose (10-20mg per day) does the trick. My skin has never looked better.

TL;DR
  • Shower twice a day
    • Use non-drying soap with salicylic acid
    • Pat dry (rubbing irritates skin)
  • Use low-dose (2.5%) benzoyl peroxide
  • Use high-quality moisturizer
  • Stay hydrated
I'm going to add
  • Shower with warm, not HOT water
  • End shower with cold water to close pores
  • Wash your bedding regularly
  • Wash bedding and clothing with detergent designed for sensitive skin
