Hello....Male 49.5 years old.....5'8".....170...16%bf.....Looking at my second cycle....First was a train wreck....400mg test c ...12 weeks...My "bro" recommended that i just continue to stay on that as a hrt due to my age. I know.....I found a workout partner very close to my size and performance level. He was natty I dosed as above. We ran Stoppani's short cut to size...I gained 12 pounds lean muscle and went from 22%bf to 16%....My partner went up 7-8lbs and cut up some but was unmeasured....for most exercises...he great even with me though i was stronger...But I killed him on bench press....great gains on that one. Because my "bro" thought I would be buying shit from him personally ...for ever......we never discussed a pct.....so when I quit there was none....that sucks....not quite as bad as some let on about....but not all that great either. In general i think i was under dosed....I had some luck with it and had a general sense of well being which seemed to get me laid regularly.

So have been doing some homework and my head hurts...lol..so hear goes....Looking at a second cycle and could use a little help dialing it in as there seems to be sooo much conflicting views and evidence out there.

wk 1-10 test e 250 ......500wk (250 2xwk)
wk 1-4 dbol.............. .25 ED
wk 11-12 Test p...........100 EOD
pct starting 3 days after last test p pin...... nolva ....40/40/20/20
wk 1-12 arimidex .25 ED

Note: I'm flexible and interested in input on a couple of things.....
1. I'm contemplating getting one more bottle Test e making the run 2.5 weeks longer...then going to the Test p....I'm thinking of starting at a lower test p the first week off test e and increasing it the second.

2. I've thought about test p in weeks 1-4 starting higher and fading off as the test e comes on.

3. hcg....i've read so much about it that it doesn't make sense anymore.....run the whole time? With AI? or a 10 day pct run....when exactly would that start...is it necessary with AI...It's all starting to muddle.

As far as your next cycle goes since your not on TRT I would grab some Clomid to put with the Nolvadex for pct. I would run the test prop for 3 weeks then start your pct a week after your last pin of prop. Also take your Arimidex right up to your pct. The dbol I assume you mean your running it at 25mg/day for 4 weeks which is fine. Now the HCG... well there are several ways to run it but I believe most people run it the whole length of the cycle at 500iu/week split into two pins a week up till pct or a few days away from pct. I'm not an avid HCG user, I have used it but just not a lot.

Ha...boilermaker....yup I erred. I wrote this one late at night after a bottle of wine. lol..I looked for it and didn't see it posted today so re wrote it..But no it wasn't due to impatience. :). I think the other is probably more articulate and informative. You'll probably notice that my math was better today and I factored in 3 weeks on the test p as you suggested but before i saw the suggestion.

I think it would be a lot less pain in the ass to just deal with the hcg at the end if at all. Are we talking something in the neighborhood of 10,000 iu? or more like 5?

Is the Clomid really necessary? Seems I've read both positions yes it is and no it isn't....both sides seem to have research supporting there position.

I also read earlier today the 40 was a lot of nolvadex and that the protocol should read more like 20/20/10/10

Thanks Ozzy....and thanks for the suggestion....I should probably taper the test p at the end so it counter balances the decline in test E for a smooth Cadillac kind of ride.

Yea steroidplot will tell you exactly when the test p is peaking and the test e is troughing so you can have a smooth finish.
 
Just to get your thoughts on this dbol 25mg EOD vs. test P 100 EOD in regard to kick starting. It's second cycle so perhaps I should hold on the dbol for a later cycle? And would front loading the TEST E 250 @ 500 x2 (1k first week) change either protocol?
 
I agree with Boilermech as far as what to run for pct. And I agree with Brutus as far as hcg use. I would pin hcg at the end of your test p and before you start your pct. Some good advice here from guys. Good luck, and welcome to Meso.
 
Thank you guys I appreciate your feed back....I'm adding the clomid per the suggestion and it's half price right now. :P I have a female friend that wanted to do the hcg diet thingie...I told her I would help her get it and mix etc. wouldn't even cost her the shipping because it would be in my order. All I asked was the she buy enough th?at there would be enough left over for my cycle. OH and she had to agree to lots of sex during the cycle so I've got the nuts covered now.

Now i've been reading about deca....I was fat years ago and started running and lost all the weight then started weight training....but a year and half ago I hurt my knee on a trampoline and it just doesn't seem to heal. Does deca really help with joint healing or is that just "bro" science. I understand it goes really well with the teste/dbol thing I have going. If so I would look at deca 200mg once a week for the run.

I love my avi as well.....It's worth it to come on just to see that!!
 
In the past I ran test cyp and deca with a jump start of dbol. From my personal experience, I did experience joint relief. As far as healing joints, idk about that. If you read deca's profile, it does say it provides joint relief. I don't forsee a problem with you throwing some deca into your cycle, I'm sure you would benefit from it. Keep in mind deca stays in your system for a long time, so if your tested frequently you may want to consider something different.
 
Ok...that kinda sorted it out....it's more joint relief due to it anti inflammatory effect but not necessarily healing the joint? I can take ibuprofen as an ant inflammatory or for that matter the ol ice bag..both of which make it feel better but neither heal it.
 
That's what I understand about it, it provides relief and aids joint pain, but I do not believe it heals the joint injury. So once deca is discontinued, joint pain will eventually return. I'm no expert on this subject, but that was my personal experience. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Now I'm contemplating running andromix in place of the prop the last three weeks. GP has it as a 50mg/50mg/50mg mix. I'm thinking of running 1ml EOD as the TEST E burns off. I"m thinking that might be a good way to finish up. Also that would give me a mild and short tren run to test the waters. Any thoughts?

Its my understanding that being on hcg while on cycle will help prevent testicular atrophy theres other benefits aswell but ill have to go search up on them seeing as im new to this all and havent ran my first cycle yet myself but I plan on using hcg throughout my cycle when the time comes.
 
So I thought I would post a little update and a question. The cycle went well and I'm almost done with PCT. I gained about 20lbs lean muscle and lost some fat. I've got about 1 1/2 week of PCT left have only lost a couple of pounds of the muscle I gained so overall I'm pretty happy with this last cycle. Not to mention I felt great! I learned alot and am refining a few things especially my diet which i think is my weakest link right now.

Now on to my question. I'm 50 and just prior to running my first cycle I had my testosterone tested and scored a 250. Not quite low enough to officially be low T but hardly anything to brag about being about half the average adult male. So coming back through pct is a slow process of coming back to not much to begin with. Some bro's at the gym have suggested cruising a low dosage of test e (250mg/wk). They say it's just par of growing up. LOL.......anyhow thoughts on that subject would be appreciated.
