HRT and Sperm Count

Im curious how long term HRT can have and effect on sperm count. Im aware that regular testosterone use in high mg (500 and up) as in a steroid cycle severely diminishes your sperm count, but would low doses as in HRT do so as well. Im specifically referring to andro gel and testim when i ask this question. thanks...B

I've been on HRT since November of 2000. I started on shots...200mg once a week. Within a short period of time the "boys" shut down all together and my sperm count went to "0" which is cool with my wife and I as we already have three beautiful children.

I then went to androgel for about 4 to 5 months taking three packets a day. I remained sterile, but felt like a glazed donut...so I went back to shots.

Four years later...on the same ole' regimen 200mg every week, 1 mg arimidex MWF....no new kids in the family.

I suppose it depends on us individually as a 200mg shot for me, apparently works, but I have another friend who needed 300mg for the same blood level.

Hope it helps
