My wife is doing the program to, she's in her last week of 5's. she not interested in doing the 2nd wks of 5's, just starting over at 15's. does she really need to take some time of or just go right into the round.
She's 5' 105lbs so she's not lifting a lot of weight but it is her max at the end of each block.....11

She should take the smaller amt off(7 days) if she is not feeling overtrained at all. This will allow her to use submaximal weights on the 15's and still make gains. If she doesnt like 5's why not have her do 15,12, and 8 rep schemes or 15,12,10,8

I'd say to follow the program's suggestions. Granted, the weights that are her max are "not alot" but the weight you lift as your max is "sissy weight" to an elite PL. Point being, "alot" is relative and, as such, I would think the program should be followed more or less verbatim. It was written the way it was for a reason.

She doesn't mind the 5's but if she's not looking to put on more muscle just harden up with this program and diet are the 2nd round of 5's nessisary. She said she do them if she's going to have to take a wk off anyway........11

than have her do them. take a week off and than change the reps like i posted above. Do the fives with low amt of rest b/n sets and maybe a little extra cardio to make up for less cal's burned during the 5's. A lot of people seem to see more growth during the 15's and 10s.

Will do. I seem to feel more from the 15's and 10's myself. infact I forgot how much the 15's sucked till yesterday..........11

lol, the fives go pretty smooth until the 3rd week or so and than the joints get a lil fired up. THe 15's give some great pumps. I think I am going to do 8's instead of 5's this time. My shoulder has been aching a lil.

If she is not trying to "add" muscle, she doesn't need to do Strategic Deconditioning. She can go right into the 15s again after the 5s.

You may also consider having her do 20,15,10, instead of 15,10,5, particulary with lower body exercises.
