Hurt shoulder

I was benching tonight in my garage. My wife was spotting me with 425 on the bar. I never even need somebody to touch the bar, they're usually on standby. I was on my third rep at the very bottom and went to push. I felt 2 pops (left shoulder)and could not push it at all! My son came out and lifted it off me (I held it til he got there). I did all the shoulder injury tests
that are online. I can lift my arm overhead from the front and side still. It doesnt hurt anywhere when I touch it. It does hurt in the front 3/4 the way up my shoulder. Any ideas of what it could be? Im going to make a drs appt. Thanks!

Same thing happened a few months ago. When to a Dr who worked on it. Still not the same but it helped. Once it’s happens, it will re-occur frequently if not careful. Stay away from surgery if at all possible.

Yeah that sounds right! I did something similar on my other shoulder. It was my rotator cuff sliding over a bone. But that was the back of my shoulder not the front.

To the OP. I have a right shoulder that is hamburger... from dirt biking injuries ( front and rear dislocations and a medial separation). I feel your pain. Especially overhead or incline presses.
A long story short, after many hours and monies of rehab, its still #ucked!
Chime in my bpc 157 and tb 500 miracle peptides and viola, vastly reduced pain at the top and side extension of my rom. They worked and continue to work for me as well as streching, physio, shockwave ultrasound, massage. Try them out if your wanting a speedy recovery. Or not.

Thanks! Very helpful. Its the first time Ive done this to my left shoulder and my shoulders have actually felt good for the past yr. I upped my volume over the past month and I think I over did it. Im going to look up those peptides. Thanks again!

Update: I have full range of motion back. It did bleed a little internally and bruised halfway down my bicep. Im seeing the doc on 8/8. I can do pushups but its still too stiff to bring the bar down to my chest.
