I am not sure about this Hcg I started today.

My Dr. gave me a scrip for Hcg but the drug store did not have the kind he wrote. They called him and told him that they have Novarel and he said that is ok. I went to my Dr.'s today to be shown how to give my self the shots. My Dr. had to read the insert on how to mix it, turns out they mixed one bottle with the water in it with the other bottle with the powder. But my Dr. changed the does from 125 IU's 3x's a week to 0.5cc this is I think is 500 IU's. He had a big fat book out he was reading to see what dose I would do. So now I am doing 0.5cc of Hcg 3x's a week. I asked him why so much he said because of my Weight 290 lbs. It took me a long time to get him to give me Hcg so I am not going to push him to much on this. But Dr. John has his men doing 250 to 500 IU's the 2 days before there next shot. So am I that far off. I need some input here. I had no problem giving my self the shot and so far I don't feel anything yet but it is to soon. What do you guys think. My Dr. wants me back in 2 weeks to see how I am feeling so is this to much Hcg with 150 mgs. of Depo T shots every week. And what brand do you guys use.

Dr. Crisler says never more than 500 IU at one time. Give it a try and see. You can always back off the dose, or change it to the 2 days before your cyp shot.

Yes I am going to keep on this I don't want to go higher on the Depo T 150 mgs. is high enough. I hope the Hcg bring my levels back up. I was shocked to see my E2 went to low again. I stopped the Indolplex/DIM and feel my libido comming back in just 2 days. Does Hcg make your E2 go up my Dr. feels I need to stay on top of it.

HCG should raise your E2 since it increases aromatase activity, especially at doses of 500iu or greater. Also, you might want to review your zinc supplementation.....zinc decreases aromatase activity and therefore would tend to lower E2. As a final note, If you are mixing large amounts of HCG and it will be a while before you use it all, be sure to use bateriostatic water. Sometimes the supplied solvent is something else. It will last longer when it's mixed.

You know my BCBC payed for it and the needles it all cost me $5.00. I have it in the frig. do you guys let it warm up after you draw it before using it. Or do you shot it cold.

Yes that is it. I was told by the Dr. that he wants me back to see him in 2 weeks. So maybe this is just for starters. He was talking about my doing 125 IU's 3x's a week for 2 weeks then doing 250 IU's 3x's a week for 2 more weeks and then after that doing a value test. But I was unable to get the one he wanted. Are the other kinds different then this one.

Some of them come in a glass ampule rather than the multiple-use vial, but for the most part, they are packaged like the Novarel. I think that there are brands that come in a 5000 IU vial, but they seem to be hard to find. That's great your insurance paid the whole nut. Even if it hadn't, hCG isn't expensive. When I used it, I paid $35.00 for a 10K IU vial.

Yes, I shoot it cold. You can't feel that it's cold when it goes in. In fact, the 30 ga insulin needles are so tiny, I often can't feel much of anything.

Ya know why he changed your dose? Because he read the package insert! In it they are telling docs how to use it for hypogonadism. There are several regimens and one of em tells the doc to start out at 500iu and then change it in three weeks....or something like that. Hell, one says to use 5000iu per week!

Just be careful with the mixing part. I say this only because I originally had the 10ml Bac Stat solution with my novarel. You mix the whole vial in with the powder. Next time I got a 30ml bottle! I started to fill the powder vial and then stopped cause I realized I had too much water. Double checked the directions and it still said to use only 10ml....I guess they just made a standardized bottle size? Either way, don't make my mistake and think it's the same size when it's not.

And BTW, no problems with Novarel. Also, you may not feel it for quite some time. In fact, I barely feel any effect at all. I do notice when I don't get it but not much. I'd say the biggest impact it has had on me is my testicle size.

this is good stuff, remember that after 8 weeks, you've got to start a new bottle and toss the unused amount in the old bottle. If your doc is new to this stuff as a part of HRT/TRT remind him of this or he might think you are using it inappropriately due to frequent renewals.

My Norarel insert says it is good for 60 days after it is reconstituted. Are you saying the the expiation date on the box is only good for 30 more days?

I know for a fact that the dose my Dr. gave me came from a fat book he was reading. Are the different brands of Hcg more powerful from one to the other? I only ask this because he was going to have me start much lower but I could not find the one he wanted.

I have noticed a change already I feel more calm and relaxed after the shot and when I woke up this morning I was ready to go it did not take me as long to get going. It takes me a long time to get going in the morning. I have been primary for 21 yrs. my testis feel tight this morning so there is something going on here.

My insert says it is only good for 60 day.

The "big, fat books" out there are almost all quite outdated.

There is no association between body weight and dosing requirements for ANY TRT medications.

When I advised "never more than 500IU at a time" it was when guys were doing 1000IU per day (or more). And Endocrinologists were (and still are) using 5,000IU per shot. Now that I have much more experience I have learned that HCG is much more powerful than I previously thought, and do not want guys to use more than 250IU at a time.

We are supposed to evolve our thinking as time goes on.

What can I say by hook or crook I am going to get my Dr. on board to your way of thinking. I have to say I have not felt this calm ever. I never feel like taking a nap and when I do I feel worse after. Today I took a nap and when I woke up I felt better.

yeah, i used to use two 2500iu shots in the middle and then again in the 1st week after my last shot when i would cycle steroids..then i would continue with 3 weeks of clomid.. standard protocol
