I think I tore a muscle

A couple days ago, I was doing heavy benching, and I had a guy who I didn't know come spot me. He popped the bar off the rack and brought it ALL the way over my lower chest/abdomen area. I had to readjust the bar since I bench over my middle chest, and the weight was heavy. What happened on the 2nd rep was as I was coming down, my right arm kinda buckled and the bar came down a lil more on that side. I put it up with him helping a little. I felt a burning pain on the inside of my upper arm. I tried doing some heavy incline DB presses like a dumbass, but then decided to go home since my arm was burning. I worked later that night and my arm would be sore to lift parallel to the ground. When I came home from work I could feel a slight lump inside my upper arm. I iced it down, went to bed, woke up the next day and iced it, and I felt 10 times better. Today is day 2 since it happened. I feel a lot better, but still a small strain when I go to lift my arm up parallel to the side.

My question is, did I get a small tear in my arm? How much longer should I stay out of the gym? I'm sure when I lift again I will have to go light for a week. I feel like I may have traumatized myself from lifting heavy on the bench now. This really hurts me psychologically.

If there's a doctor in the house, help a meso bro out......

Been there bro... Watch for bruising. Mine didnt tear completely off, but it did a bang up job on me. I had bruises under my arm, then when they went away, I had more bruising under my nipple.

Talk to a doc or a trainer or someone. I tore it attempting 375. My highest reps since then are 185 for 9. I have no confidence in my flat benching. The dumbells are up though..

Just keep icing it and if it gets worse, check out a doc.
