IGF-1 RESULT TIME

Had panel done 7 days ago by quest and have all results back except IGF1, it says pending, is it unusual for that one to take so long? Never had this happen before.

Labs generally run things in batches. When they have enough samples to test for IGF-1 or the samples are getting to old they will run them. Till then you wait.

Thanks for the replies, They actually all came through a couple hrs ago and I'm kind of surprised at the test and IGF#s, All blood, lipids, thyroids, etc. all within range. Even the test is 457 and IGF1 is 228. Really thought both would be lower given age and generally rough shape I'm in.

Not sure where to go from here , have plenty of gear stashed but haven't used any, not even trt in about 5 years and really thought hgh would be the best way to go but not sure now since the numbers don't look so bad. Goal would be to lose some mid section, recomp and build a little muscle. 63 now 5'9, 220, have had total knee repl, rotator cuf repr, elbow surgery, abdominal hernia repr, so probably need to stay away from heavy weight. Thoughts on benefits of mild dosages gh, hcg, test??

It seems that the rest of your bloodwork is in good shape since you didn't bring it up. If that's the case, doesn't seem that you'll benefit much of hgh unless you want to aim for 300-350. Even then, it's a personal preference.

I would for sure start trt with test at 100-150mg/week. Safe side is do 125 and see where that puts you with bloodwork. That's the route I took.

Even at that dose I noticed a huge difference with my bf and muscle gain, exactly as you described in your goal. I'll be doing bloodwork to determine if I need to go to 150 and add HGH, also based on bloodwork.

As for HCG, unless you're concerned with testicular atrophy or fertility, I'll go on a limb and say the last one isn't a concern, it will be a waste. To me fertility is a concern, so I'll be doing 500iu/week.

Yes, All other bloodwork was good and the test dosages you suggest are pretty much exactly what I was thinking. As far as GH, I wanted to see if it helped with sleep and fatigue as I can usually go wide open for a couple hrs on anything but seem to be wore out the rest of the day and sleep is not that great, but with the 228 IGF1 #s, I don't know if the exogenous GH would help or hurt. I don't want to fuck up what I already have, so would adding it be beneficial? Also never had an issue with e2 and if a little high kept in check with primo but have had issues with HCT on higher doses of test, deca, and others so would always just donate to lower. Any input would be appreciated.
