IGF sting...

Hey all,

I was wondering what, if anything, you guys that are using Lr3 IGF do about the sting. I am doing IM injects to Bi's and Tri's and the sting is rather intense. I load the pin with Bacteriostatic Water with enough room for 40 mcg's and go from there. Problem is, the BA/IGF mixture is right at the end of the pin and really nails me upon starting the inject. I guess I could try loading some BW then the IGF and then fill the rest with BW. I think my problem is that the straight BA is hitting first with no buffer and it kills.

Open to any suggestions...

No one? Not a soul? I am assuming this is normal and I will just live with it.

I load the IGF-1 first. That way, no water backs up into the vial of IGF-1 and I get no sting with the IGF being at the end of the shot. I think this will make a big difference; I have absolutely no probs and have done several cycles of it.

Once you have both in the syringe you gotta shake the living shit out of it til it's looks like milk then shoot immediately. It separates very quickly. If you do it this way you will not see the mixture at the end of the pin.

Thanks you guys!

I will try shaking first as I worry about leaving residual IGF in the pin when it's on the back end. Sort of makes me think that some of the IGF is still in the actual needle and first part of the pin. I really appreciate both suggestions though!

I thought that shaking was contraindicated as it breaks the fragile (protein/AA?) chains?

Well, I made things a little easier on my by loading water, then IGF, then more water. This definitely turns a milky white and I did not have to shake. The sting was significantly less.

no reason to

use the correct pins and you don't need to mix it with water or alcohol. if you hit a vein, yes, it will not only sting, but burn the shit out of you. My skin looked like the moon crater and they shot me full of antiboitics and the boils kept coming back day after day for a week. Yes, veins are that close to the skin.

No offense but that is rather ambiguous. What do you mean by "use the correct pins"? I am using slin pins... I believe these are the prescribed instrument for this type of injection. When you say... "No need to mix with water or alcohol" what exactly do you mean?

The IGF comes already in a pure Benzyl Alcohol solution... if you inject that, either SQ or IM you will get tissue necrosis for sure... ie- you need to buffer the BA with Bacteriostatic water or you will be hating life. Maybe your IGF comes in a different way or you reconstitute on the fly but mine is in BA.

Oh... and remember to aspirate when doing IM injections. That prolly would have saved you some grief.
