He struggled, lived in people's filth to save every dime and get himself out of a desperate situation. he put himself through school to learn english and became fluent. he put himself through school and became a master automotive tech. he did anything and everything to do the RIGHT thing - AND NEVER TOOK A TAX DOLLAR. 35 years later my father owns a successful chain of retain stores, has millions in stocks, funds and real estate, and put me through a top 50 university to the tune of $40K a year. and he did it CASH. AND I HAVE NOBODY TO THANK BUT HIM.

He sounds like a great man. I wish I could be half the man he is. What I hate the most, isn't the immagrants but the fact that America helps out everyone else in the world but there own. We have so much homeless, people losing there jobs every day, kids going hungry, not to mention a shitty education system. There are so many needs to be met in our country. What I want to know is why the fuck do we send all this help to other countries, like fuckin Iraq. They don't give a fuck about us and we still help them. All these countries we help could care less about America. They fuckin kill our people and we send aid to these fuckin countries. All our tax dollars go to helping these countries. Our taxes go up, not for America but to give aid to other countries that promotes terrorism How stupid is that? yeah he's a stubborn bastard but i love em just the same. game you're right, but it's a tough spot. if we become isolationist again it will bite us in the ass.. the world has become too interdependent to ignore those countries.. some would say it's our obligation as world hegemon to help other less fortunate countries (i say bullshit if we have domestic issues). and they'd also say that it's in our best interest to help them out so that new markets for american products are cultivated (very true). it's too bad that americans can't count on back stabbing countries like france in the effort to help less fortunate countries. is it not true that if it wasn't for our men on their beaches, they'd be eating knockwurst and speaking german? fuck that, we all (all modernized western countries) share the obligation to modernize 3rd world countries but as always,america's good nature gets taken for granted... hell germany and france STILL owe us reparations from WWII.

The whole "taking over the neighborhood" and "fourteen families to a house" really hits home. It's truly sad to see. I grew up in Southern California and now I go home and my neighborhood is gone. It's changed so much. In my eyes you have two types of immigrants, those who come here to make a better life for themselves and fit into our society and those who come here to have an easier life and refuse to insert themselves into our culture. I'm all for being proud of your heritage and culture but fuck, if I moved to Mexico, you can be damned sure I'd learn the language within a couple of months.
