Infections

I've never had an infection scare, until this morning. I pinned a brand new vial of Test. Susp. (1ml) into my deltoid yesterday. The day before I put 2cc's into the deltoid, probably stupid. Today, it's a little red and warm-ish to the touch. I don't think it's an infection, as it's been less than 24 hours (I would imagine an infection would take a little bit of time).

It made me think, though, what would I do if I actually have an infection? Is it best to order some antibiotics from a source to have on hand? If yes, which antibiotic? If this gets worse, I'll go to an urgent care or something, what should I tell them ( I have a script for TRT test, I figure I'll tell them I pinned that).

Test suspension can be ruff. I remember shooting steris back in the day and that was US pharm grade and it had a bite to it.

I think you will be okay and like you stated if it gets worse you can always go to the clinic or doctor.

Is is warm to the touch?

SLIGHTLY warm, not noticeable. It's kind of a pinkish color, I am very fair skin, so it's really obvious. I did it was a 27g 1/2" pin, so I think it's mostly sub-Q, hence the pip. Test susp always gives me knots, I always remember why I don't use it.

I will keep an eye on it. For legal reasons, would I be best to tell them it was b12 or my trt test. cyp. ?

That's up to you. They most likely won't have a clue whatever you tell them but if you trust in their confidentiality I'm always up for telling them the truth if they are diagnosing something.

True, true. I just don't need any legal bullshit or it somehow effecting my ability for my insurance to cover my TRT.

Would amoxicillin be a good choice to have on hand, for future issues like this?

I understand.

I think it's always good to have an antibiotic like that around. I always have an extra Z pack around at the house.

Good thinking, I imagine a source here sells pharma antib's

You don't need to worry just yet. Sounds like reaction to your gear.

It would be several days before you would be able to know if it is.If you ever do, go to the ER.

I had one I treated myself. I drained it for a week 5 times a day, pulling 30ml of pus out each time. Also had plenty of antibiotics on hand.

Fuck that, I will definitely go to a doc before I am pulling that shit out, LOL!

I thought ~18 hours would be a little quick. I assume it's a reaction of the soreness from the previous pin + the test. susp.

Thanks guys!

Just like I said in another thread , stay away from the deadly Fluoroquinolone antibiotics like Cipro , Levaquin and Avelox . These are last line of defense antibiotics that damage muscles and tendons . Trust me on this one . ~Ogh

So you pinned same deltoid? That's what you mean?

For some reason when I pin Deltoids I always get this knot sensation and little&warm sensation .it will last up do 5 -6 days after that is gone .

Yeah- I put 2cc's in it the day before. I figured since it was only 1 cc and mostly sub-q, it wouldn't be an issue. Hurt like all fuck.

Amox. then?

Like mands said Azithromicin aka a zpak is what I've been prescribed for severe infections, strep b, almost killed me.

I was in college and was doing clinicals in the local hospitals. A lot of people I knew would find out.

I had what I needed to take care of it myself. I don't recommend anyone do it. To me at the time, it seemed like the best plan.

Fuck, well I'm glad it worked out! My girl's dad is a fireman, I'm sure he could help me if I needed, and a few MD friends. But, I like to keep them out of this shit if possible.

I "think " is just a reaction of high oil being injected in total 3cc in same spot.
Personally I wouldn't go over 1.5c for deltoid . Back then when I had that reaction I was specific with doc. I got a scrip for keflex 6 pills . Enough for 3 days.
