Zo iv been doing a training split of back, legs, chest twice a week and shoulders once, trying to cut. Iv been toning up quite a bit and feel stronger and harder then my once a week split, but I started having some pain in my left elbow possibly ligament and my shoulder, same arm.
Havent been lifting super heavy, just very frequently. Am I just overworking one muscle and need to hit the opposite, take time off or go.see the doctor?? Thanks for the replies

Elbow issues are mainly tendinitis, so it is a good idea to back off the heavy lifting for a bit till it subsides.

I have the same problem my elbow, I just take easy like mindlesswork said and as soon as you can crank out a bunch of push ups with no pain then test the waters with moderately heavy weights that's what I do

Actually I got to the point to where I had such shooting pain in my left elbow I dropped a 60 db. I had to stop doing certain lifts all together that stressed for about 2 weeks it sucked. But I'm getting back to heavier weights now. It's funny I started to get depressed I couldn't lift heavy

Theirs a lot of guys here with more experience than me so just hang around and you'll get taken care of you came to the right place for solid advice

Inside of elbow or outside? Front of shoulder? I have bicep tendonitis in both arms. Pain where bicep attaches at elbow, and pain in front part of shoulder which is where bicep tendons attach. I was really concerned with the shoulder pain until the dr assured me what it was. I also have bursitis in both shoulders and got cortisone shots for that a few weeks ago. And to my surprise the cortisone shots to back of each shoulder some how relieved the bicep tendonitis. I'm back to full use of biceps, and almost ready to put shoulders back to full use.
