Insulin *Taboo*

Y

That's how I use it. I like insulin that's in and out to do that job, and doesn't repeak.
Yeah I should have elaborated on that a bit more in terms of the type of insulin I'm referring to which in this case is novorapid (not sure what that is called in the USA).

I thought I would throw in this little story about what happened last week.
I live with my mum and she knows I run steroids and she asked me why I have novorapid in the fridge. I explained to her about how it works (she knows though as she works in pharmacy and her father was diabetic) for bodybuilding purposes however it has its risks. I also asked her to show me how the glucometer works as she does this all day in her job.
Whilst explaining to her how risky I have heard insulin is and all about carbs and hypo and shit she just laughed at me and told me to chill out and that it's not that complicated.
I suppose all I am trying to say is that all drugs have inherent risks and the more we educate ourselves the more we can get maximise the benefit of using these substances in a safe manner. Like I've said before about my 15 year IV heroin addiction, that shit is really dangerous however I educated myself on it and never once overdosed. Use with caution.

I've been using insulin (Eli Lilly's humalog) since before I ever used AAS. It was the first PED I ever used. Here in Canada it is OTC you just walk into the pharmacy and ask for it, I pay $32 for a 10ml vial, dirt cheap. I've never been denied but do get weird looks. As irresponsible as you'll say it is, in all these years I've never ever used a glucometer either.

My usual protocol is to dose twice per day, workout days only. Once first thing in the morning, then immediately post workout. 10iu both times. No more than 4 weeks of consecutive use followed by at least 4 weeks of no use while taking metformin.

Immediately following a dose I down a shake with:

110g dextrose
10g BCAA
10g creatine

15 minutes later I down 50g of whey protein. Then an hour later I get a proper meal in. I never go anywhere without a big box of Wonka Nerds candy. I got them in my place, my cars center console, and in my basement gym. Their main ingredient is dextrose and I just love nerd candies. They are always nearby.

I notice increased fullness in my muscles when using slin and it helps my strength break plateaus.

I recommend using metformin during the off time to improve insulin sensitivity. Everytime I get back on I make sure to start at 3iu and work back up to 10iu, basically to test my sensitivity in case I sonehow became hypersensitive while using metformin. I would not recommend jumping right back into 10iu following off time.

That's my experience, I actually just did a shot like 45 minutes ago.

Oh and I never, ever, do a shot if I intend to sleep sooner than 5 hours after taking the shot. If my workout happens late in the evening I just skip shooting slin.

I'd like to see some legit before and after pics of you guys running insulin to see just exactly what you're getting out of it long term. I've been around a long time and used insulin for carb loading for a show (2 days max) but never saw anyone that contributed any true gains to insulin use alone.

Combined with HGH, AAS and a shit ton of food working at the national or pro level with a coach monitoring your bloods and other factors I can see maybe some benefit but I'm talking about the average bodybuilder/weight lifting gym rat.

I do agree however your local gym rat on aas with no knowledge on nutrition and training won't get much results either.
I'm sure insulin does have its advantages over nothing at all however the question is is it worth the risks involved?

Before and after pics would be hard to gauge, as you'd be unwise to run slin without GH and AAS. Obviously all of those factors would contribute to the change you see. Now, I can tell you from firsthand experience that 15 or so ius of short acting insulin wont give you CRAZY results. It's similar to dbol, in a sense.... But, the nutrient shuttling you receive from it seems to be unmatched. It has a place, but I don't plan on using it daily or longer version such as humulin.

I've got a mate that uses insulin during pct and he is fucken huge. I don't think it's this anabolic powerhouse that people are claiming it to be but I'm sure it has its benefits as outlined above when it comes to maximising nutritional value only if nutrition is on point. I think it's definitely a good weapon in the bodybuilding arsenal combined with other tools of the trade.

Your mates a smart guy then. From studies I've read insulin is not anabolic but rather anti-catabolic. It does not increase protein synthesis in muscle but it inhibits protein breakdown in muscle. This method of action would support it being very good for pct when the goal becomes not necessarily to keep growing but rather to prevent the loss of hard earned gains.

Just found this thread. I love insulin and have been recently following my man Wunderpus protocol. Prior to this i only used it post workout. But now i feel pre workout is the way to go. I use the carb amino shake pre and intra and egg white shake post. Been feeling great making gainz and tons of energy in the gym. I use the long acting Humulin-R. Rarely go hypo if I'm eating enough but always have Gatorade and glucose tabs on hand. Good shit
