Intermittent fasting is BULLSHIT!!!!!

According to IFBB pro (masters in kinesiology) personal trainer, Greg Doucette.
He says intermittent fasting is a fad that is counter productive to building or maintaining muscle and only leads to eating disorders.

It helped me transform my physique from mediocre to shredded. It is very goal specific and obviously nothing that creates a caloric deficit is optimal for muscle growth. It has it's place and is def not bullshit.
Did you watch the video?
According to him it all comes down to calories in verses calories out. If you would have eaten the same foods that you did during your I.F diet but spread out over 5 protein based meals you would of had better results. According to Greg D.

Good video, thanks for posting. It's kind of hard to argue with him and I can't find any fault in his facts however intermittent fasting has worked wonders for me. Take growth hormone upon waking and let it work for 3 or 4 hours before eating. This allows the growth hormone time to mobilize your fat. I'm also on testosterone when intermittent fasting so I'm not worried about muscle breakdown.

I'm 40 and tried it all. I don't even IF all the time, but there is a place in my routine for it and for me works better than anything else I have tried. I have hunger issues when spreading out my meals, when I am constantly eating smaller meals it's like I can never get full and when I'm really hungry In personally tend to eat things I normally wouldn't. When cutting it is so much easier for me to eat my planned meals in a 8-10 hour window and I can eat untill I am full. And I have no issue with hunger as long as I keep my carb intake moderatly low. I would agree that it all boils down to calories in calories out, it just for me is much easier to maintain a lower caloric intake by utilizing IF. For somebody on full blown bulk, IF would be silly.

I agree with the video 100%!! IF is for lazy fucks, none look like anything special.

I've never seen anyone look good from it or above average muscle build

How people are still debating this topic when the studies have been published is beyond me. There have been so many threads on this topic. Here are the facts. 1) It is NOT superior to other dieting methods when calories are equated. 2) It is INFERIOR for muscle gain. That’s it. The end. If you like it and it fits your lifestyle, yes it can work just like any other diet. But not better. AND you don’t store protein the way you do carbs and fats so you do not have the same ability to build muscle with less frequent protein.

According to Greg Doucette, it is inferior to muscle gain because it doesn't take full advantage of your bodies ability to synthesize protien. He says the magic Number is 5. Five protien based meals a day does this. If you only eat 2 meals a day you are missing out on 3 opratunitys of protien synthesis. 6 is not better than 5 and 5 is better than 4.

This is mostly for natural guys...someone on juice has a far higher ability for protein synthesis. Natural athletes require “pulses” of amino acids to grow optimally as too frequent and below a threshold blunts the effectiveness.

Most people shouldn’t get lost in this minutiae and should just find a diet they can stick to.

So exactly what I stated already. Cool.

Wrong. More frequent would still be superior and more optimal muscle growth for an enhanced athlete as well.

Yes I’m a bit sarcastic but seriously I swear I see a new thread in this topic every month with people debating the same facts that have already been proven. And no matter how many links I post someone always tries to prove that somehow eating the same exact amount of calories in a different time frame is somehow better. It just isn’t. And while we’re at it, neither is fasted cardio.
