What’s up boys. I’m Mrkitties, 36.
I train 3–6x per week and keep cardio at a minimum of ~3 hours per week, mostly Zone 2. I’m careful with my training because I have a cervical herniated disc from about a year ago, so I avoid certain compound lifts to baby my neck.
The plan is to lose around 30 lbs, possibly with the help of tirzepatide. Once I’m down to ~190 lbs at 5'11", I’m considering hopping on TRT—nothing crazy—just to get my feet wet and see how my body responds, with a locked-in diet.
Right now I avoid overhead pressing, barbell squats, and deadlifts. If my lower back continues to feel solid, I may reintroduce one compound lift at a time (excluding overhead pressing). I used to do Olympic lifting for about a year and a half, and before that I ran a bro-split. These days I stick to PPL plus cardio.
The goal is to lose the weight, keep my hair, and not push the envelope. Bloodwork will be done pre, during, and post—no shortcuts.
None of this happens until I take care of the fat-containing hernia first.
