Iodoral -> brassy taste, cotton mouth

I've been on Iodoral about a week now just taking 1 pill a day, and I'm getting that brassy taste in my mouth and my mouth is very dry - cotton mouth. So I'm going to stop.

What's the significance of this?

I did the loading urine test last week but I don't get the results back until tomorrow...

Ingestion of iodine and/or iodide has been associated with certain complaints. If you experience any of the following, stop ingesting Iodoral and contact your physician:

acne-like skin lesions in certain areas of your body

headache in the frontal sinus

unpleasant brassy taste

increased salivation and sneezing

If you experience any unusual symptom since starting on Iodoral, contact your physician.

Yeah I'm aware of the warning for it but my doc doesn't deal with Iodoral so he won't know why I'm having this result.

My excretion during loading test was 36mg so I'm low (anything under 45 is defficient). I'm just taking half a tab now and then so I don't get the brassy/cotton back.
