I plan on working out super hardcore this summer.

Ive been sticking to the 5x5 but Ill be honest somedays I miss some excersizes and Im kind of mad at myself right now.

But no more of that.

My abs really need alot of work.

What do you guys like to do for abs?

My diet is now in check completely.

I pretty much stopped drinking alcohol all together.

I get a really good nights rest every night. Im rarely staying out past 2.

Im 240 now, under 10%BF just dont know the exact percentage.

I like the way I look I just have to work on my abs more and lose a little more body fat and then I will have reached my goal for atleast this summer.

I love this Tren.

I was thinking since I am shut down really bad to start running some HCG on cycle to help get the boys back in pumpin again. And for when I come off in the winter Im going to run HGH and IGF to help deal with the catabolism. If I told you guys how long Ive been on for your going to flame the shit out of me. Basically Ive been on since Ive been a member on these boards... Thats since october. I know its bad but I honestly dont really care. people do it all the time. so why not me eh? Hopefully HRT will not have to come into play but if it does then Ill deal with it. I make enough money. Wish me luck.

Steroid abuse is bad. Steroids are very addicting.

I certainly wont flame on you for the time you have been on "cycle"{or should we call it line}
But you are a bit naughty telling others of the importance of pct when you are not really sticking to the guide lines yourself.
I'm not in a position to preach to others though, and are actually in the same boat as you!
Good luck with the abs, sounds like you are doing well with your phsyic.

Yeah I preach about PCT. But who says I won't practice good PCT when I come off?

Im going to try to have the best PCT possible come october.

Oh and by the way Im 6''2".

As long as you're not missing the squats or deadlifts, I guess it isn't too bad. I've cut the rows short on my last two times in the gym. I just didn't have enough juice to make it through.

For abs I like cable crunches. Or you can do weighted situps. We don't have a bench for that, so I use the cable. I also do situps at home.

For abs, little to nothing. If I'm squatting, which I always am, then I don't worry much about not working my abs.

But knowing that you will do them anyway, I suggest weighted incline situps. If you don't have a bench for this, grab a regular one that sits there in front of the dumbbell racks at most gyms. Drag it to the squat rack. Then place the bar at about waist level (or accordingly), such that you can put one end of the bench over the top of the bar and now have a decline bench suitable for incline situps.

I also like hanging leg raises, with stiff legs and weight between my feet.

Also......if you are training super hardcore, does that make all these other guys lazy that are hardcore? And if you go super hardcore, what's next? Extreme hardcore?

Im not trying to compare myself to anyone else.

Im just trying to turn up the intensity for myself.

The 5x5 takes a shitload of time in the gym.

I have to wait at least 3 min between sets on almost every excersize. It really takes forever.

its 2pm now I just got home from the gym and I got to the gym at 9. so thats 5 hours in the gym. And I didnt even have enough battery life left to do biceps and abs. so i left them out, and ill go back to the gym tonight. finish up.

Dude, WTF are you doing? You should be able to complete the workouts in ~1 hour. It's only 15 sets, for pete's sake.

Relax fella....it was a philosophical quip....if you will. I was merely being inquisitively critical.

But 5 hours.....I did 5x5 for quite some time. With 4-5 minutes between sets of squats and deads. I was always done in 1.5 hours max.

I time it with my ipod. 3 minute minimum wait period between sets. I have no idea why its taking so long. 5x5 flat 5x5 incline 5x5 pullups 5x5 squats triceps more biceps. takes me hours.

Even though you have added inclines to the 5x5, your time in the gym doesn't add up.

20 sets @ 1 min/set = 20 mins
3 min rest between = 60 mins
Total = 1 hour 20 mins.

Also, unless you are super-human, it is impossible to maintain any decent amount of intensity for 5 hours.

I have done the 5x5 (as written) many times and it took as Girzz says, approx 1 hour. However, I do tend to superset movements for effeciency (1 set of bench then 1 set of rows).

When did incline and flat make it on the same day? In fact, chins are on the same day as overhead presses and deadlifts. Why do you insist upon "improving on" a program you've never even done before that, like I said before, you are not able to improve upon?

Just think how many calories your burning being in the gym for 5 hours!!!! And stop telling us your doing the 5x5, because your not. But good luck to you.

Ummmm, yeah, really it does, smartguy.

"5x5 flat 5x5 incline 5x5 pullups 5x5 squats triceps more biceps." is not even close to what the program lines out. For one, squats are first. Period. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that your loading parameters aren't even close to what they're supposed to be either. Are you even squatting 3X/wk?

The FACT of the matter(and I'm going to stop myself from putting together three paragraphs of profanity directed at you) is that you're not doing the 5X5. It is a very specific program based on very specific loading parameters and structure. You have completely fucked it up. 5 sets of 5 reps does not the 5X5 make. Period.

Do you even know what deloading is?

Hey just b/c I add in incline bench doesnt mean Im not doing the 5x5 anymore.

And do you know how I can make my last post with 100% assurance? Because you added incline on a day with bench and chins??????? When the fuck did bench and chins get on the same day? Where are your deadlifts?

Again, I'm going to stop myself. One of these days I'm going to flame the absolute shit out of you though. No offense, of course. ;)

Continuing with that, it is absolutely paramount that you do you squats and deads. They are the basis of the program. They will contribute to your overall musculature much better than any other exercise can come close to. If you want to follow a true 5x5 then do it; don't fuck with it.

As far as abs go, I follow Animalmasses DFHT workouts and do abs on leg days: cable crunches and db oblique crunches, if you are doing squats and deads, you need nothing else.

I appreciate all the responses thank you guys.
