So I plan on joining the navy after my rehab from my upcoming surgery and I'm wondering if anybody that has experience in the navy or military in general can give me an idea of what I'm going to be getting myself into as far as basic is concerned. I've started running 2 miles every other day, because I'm not a runner, just so I can start to build endurance. Now I can't start swimming or doing push-ups and sit-ups until after my surgery. I'm thinking if I sign in May I won'[t be leaving until anywhere between august and october, so I plan on lifting again but running 2-3 miles a day whenever I can get to that, and swimming everyday along with done a large amount of push ups and sit ups. I'm trying to either do SEAL or SWCC if anybody is familiar with those. So if anybody can give em an idea of what I can do now to start preparing that would be great. Also, please share any experiences you had going through basic whether they're good or bad, because I know I'm going to have to mentally prepare for a lot. Thank you in advance for any advice you give me. it's greatly appreciated.
