I am no stranger to physical exercise, I spent 4 years in the Marine Corp. 01-05, and labored a few years after that, went to college got my nursing license, and a few years ago I start a Lawn Business, so I lose a little weight in the summer but nothing to serious, I mainly need to really work on my diet

Welcome to Meso!

There's a lot of routines out there for people who don't have much time to train, so take a look around. Diet is certainly key if you aren't in the best of shape so once you got your diet whipped into sane shape then a training program will become an asset.

Little sugar in my coffee, is something that I'm not sure if I want to give up though......lol

You don't really need to...

You need to download myfitnesspal on your phone. Figure out your TDEE, I don't entirely trust the TDEE they provide you with so I have checked many sources and averaged them in addition to personal experience. Once you get your TDEE entered, subtract a few hundred calories and start tracking what you eat. It's a small sacrifice to lose weight. If you want to add sugar to your coffee, go for it. Just know that it adds some calories. As long as you're in a caloric deficit you'll still lose weight, sugar in coffee or not.

I suggest you keep your diet as simple and comfortable as you can... Otherwise you won't be able to stick with it for the long term. Put some sugar in that coffee. :)
