Hey folks, others have mentioned this but does anyone have a hunch as to why my lab-work has a discrepancy? I use privatelabsmd and I get my blood drawn at a Quest Diagnostics lab. It seems like they report my free T consistency lower than what calculator outputs. This time around I had them explicitly measure my SHBG as I am doing an experiment so I dont know how they are geting the free test (if its measured or calculated).
Total test: 416 ng/dl
Free test: 66.2 pg/ml
Albumin: 4.5 g/dl
SHBG: 23 nmol
Using most free testosterone calculators my free T should be around 10 ng/dl. Anyone know why this discrepancy is happening and which numbers to believe?
