Laptops...I need a new one

looking to spend under $1k. I don't do much on them, other than surf the net and pay bills. Microsoft Office would be nice to have, but other than that I could care less.

I have an Asus that's about 8 years old, but it's driving me crazy...the monitor is crooked cause one of the brackets is broke. It also takes about 5 minutes from the time I open it up to the time I can actually function on the net.

Okay nerds, hit me with options, please...

Can't go wrong with a Dell or an HP one and you can get a pretty decent model at that price point for what you want to do.

I personally own an HP business-grade Elitebook and 2 Lenovo laptops and had nary an issue with them and I maintain them myself as I am an IT professional.

Ended up getting a deal on an Asus Q325ua. The guy told me it's the bee's knees, so I bought it.

Isn't there usually a lot of junk I can/should get rid of when you buy a new computer??

There's also a brand new one, Google PixelBook, that's really interesting.

Also, a MacBook with proper Retina screen (not the Air) can be had for a grand.

thanks for the continued input, but I already bought a bad motherfucking laptop...it's an Asus. Screen is a little smaller than I wanted, but it's already growing on me.
