Hey Meso i have buddy who's 4wks out & wants 2 run lasix the tabs to cut down the water.how should he run the lasix.Thanks in advance

I would suggest he not use it. I gave up lasix a couple of years back. It is not potassium sparing and unless someone is extremely experienced with it. Cramps and muscle go flat if you use too much.... I use aldactone (diazide) Its potassium sparing and it is much easier to control. Although it is milder, it stilll works.

Also, Its more the sodium and water manipulation that works than the diuretics. The pros use them but they have doctors to hit them with IV's.

If they are 20 mg tabs do this:

The day before the show, about 5 pm stop all water intake. @ 9 pm take 1 tab. When he wakes up, drop the second tab.

That is how I do it and it works well for me. But be forwarned...getting the right water balance is really tricky for a show.

Too little = flat
too much = less definition
