Low Free Test

I have a friend on trt that just got some blood work and his free test is low. Don't know exactly what his numbers was but they are taking him off his injectable and giving him the gel to use to try to get it back up. He has also been taking dbol 50mg a day for a while and adex .5 eod. Anyone know what could be the cause for low free test? His total test was in normal range just free test was low.

Neither one of us knows much about blood work. Wouldn't lower free test lower your gains you make at the gym. He feels fine I just thought maybe it had something to do with something he was taking. I dont know what causes low free test when your total test is fine.

High SHBG does it but free test assays are t always accurate bc of the methodology used. I wouldn't worry about it personally.

TRT isn't about gains at the gym. It's about treating a medical disorder. Having said that, the differences in the gym between slightly low and normal free test will not be noticeable.
