Making up missed meals with junk?

Okay so I am taking the approach of eating enough to progress on my lifts. Eating for performance, I like to think of it. So how ever much I need to eat to slowly hit PRs and recover. Tonight I missed a meal and it was late and didn’t feel like eating chicken and rice or oatmeal etc. but I know I needed more calories.

Would it be better to eat 500 calories worth of cookies or just go to bed? What you think?

if you’re tryna grow/get stronger, shit food is better than no food. Especially before bed. No risk of fuckinf the rest of your day up if it’s the last meal.
