A Right Goes Wrong: Man's killer is protected by Alabama law

[SIZE=-1]The Alabama legislature approved a strict version of the so-called Castle Doctrine in 2006, which basically means that home­owners are immune from criminal prosecution and civil wrongful-death lawsuits if they kill someone who has come into their home uninvited.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]Lawyers have interpreted that to mean that in incidents such as the one in which McLain was killed, the gunman cannot be detained or questioned extensively.[/SIZE]
