total pansy here too...probably from a sadistic needle-happy freak allergist when I was about 5 years old damn him to hell. Should sue the bastard, if I could only remember his name. Mengele or something like that, I think.
Did you warm the oil? That helps it flow a bit better. Um...don't microwave it

I put it in a warm towel or a usually warm gel-pack for a while to heat it up to body temperature.
Were you nervous when you were injecting it in? Did you "
giggle" the needle around? That's also bad cuz it makes it easier to shoot some of it into a vein.
Did you inject too fast? Dunno how that's possible with a 25g. But inject slowly...breathe slowly and give yourself a minute or so to inject it all.
It's so hard to get the oil out with a 25g that you might have been
giggling the needle around a lot. If you have trouble getting the juice out of the needle, you might want to think about a 23g. Although the pin is bigger, you might cause yourself less pain, cuz the oil comes out easier, and the needle might move around less.
Oh, and definitely order some "big" pins from getpinz for drawing the oil out of the vial. When you're done drawing, unscrew the needle and put a smaller one on.
Always use 1 needle for drawing out of the vial and a different one for injecting. um...both should be new (duh). Piercing that rubber stopper actually dulls the needle a bit, and dull needles hurt more. If you're a wuss like me, you want the sharpest pin around. And pins cost like ten cents each, so it's no big deal. You can order "spare" needles from getpinz.com.
If you're real jittery, pop a valium or a xanax or a muscle relaxant. Nice soft music. And don't do it after 4 cups of coffee.
Put a heat pack on it after you inject.
That's all I can think of. All IM shots have always caused me a bit of a charley horse--even your basic tetanus, anti-biotic, b-12, stuff the doc might give you.
Any other thoughts?
