Mast questions

Thanks for the insight but I'm going to be pretty relegated to a Canadian ugl when I go for it.. Jesus man u got good results for a 50yr old.. That's pretty insane... I'm pushing the 4-0 and not feeling the drive I once had despite my diet /supps/rest being pretty dialed..

Was thinking of starting off on a 200mg/wk test-c with armidex for a 12-16 weeker... Hope I can make some decent gains just on that for starters..

Thanks, hitting 5-5 this coming spring.

But moving along in size, I'm at 222lbs now, nearly 50 good pounds added after age 50, that's the big challenge. I'm getting young kids coming up in the gym asking me how to put on size, so I guess I'm doing something right.

200 just replaces what you shut down, double it to call it a cycle.

Blood work is of course something you've done, right? Right?

Well, u must be doing something right if the youngins are picking your brain
that's for sure..

Ya had a blood last year.. Doc said I was still ok for my age but at the lower end... So i got some d-aspartic acid test booster, zma and upped my b6 and d3 vits... I was already on creatine, glutamine, bcaa's, multi, whey and a good diet... Haven't had a blood since but going to get one after the holidays..

Either way, being just at acceptable level for my age is not what I want to hear... I want that alpha feel I had when I was younger and in the gym.. Also want that ease of fat loss and strength I used to have as well..

Busting my ass just for ok results is at this point is no longer an option... I've got everything dialed in diet/Training wise other than my levels.. Also feels like I really drag my ass sometimes and I hate that feeling man. Especially with all the work I put in..

All the supplements in the world don't measure up to real testosterone.

You don't want to go TRT unless you're really low (I'm below 200 naturally, so I'm a TRT lifer). What was your level? Doctors are often full of shit in this area, he might say that you are ok at 325.

Fat loss is from diet, not test. Diet, not juice. Diet, not gear. Change the way you look at food, it needs to become nutrition, not pleasure or reward. Tom Venuto covers this mindshift well in his books.

Know your numbers first, if you insist on a cycle, it should likely be 400 per week, two shots. 200 is essentially just TRT, upper range TRT but not a cycle.

More so than numbers, how you feel is really important. And it sounds like you're at a point of diminishing returns naturally, was the same with me, that's when I discovered I had almost no test.

I'm still in the low 300s which they say is acceptable but I call Bs... Acceptable is not optimal and the way I feel shows that..

Trust me if there's one thing I have dialed in its my food.. I love hot sauces tho so perhaps sometimes I get to much sodium on my chicken..I don't eat breads or flours.. Sweet potatoes and quinoa are my carbs of choice.. I do like to have 2 beers on a Sat night but that's my cheat meal as I can't stand sweets haha... I perform hiit cardio / play hockey and ride mountain bikes quit hard as it's one of my main hobbies.. Still its gotten harder and the last little bit of Lower abdominal fat is very hard to lose(never had that problem before).

Yes, totally realize no supplement compares to real test but I'd thought I'd give it a shot first.. Some of these test supplements do make u horny tho but after research, that doesn't necessarily mean more free Test in the blood.. I hammer leg day harder than any other day as it is supposed to up your test levels but at times I struggle to even get through the workout with that round down feeling..

This is why I believe I'm ready.. Its more about the feeling for me than trying to be big man.. I want my feeling back!

Ha! I called it, your doc thinks low 300 is ok. Get a new doc. Most docs are useless, you need to shop around.

U totally did man... Weird how I've still made some decent gains being that low tho.. But the struggle is real.. Wonder if I have an increase at all since then just off diet/supps and boosters..

My journey, when I was where you are (and I tested 190) was one where I slept poorly, had such slow recovery after any exercise, yard work etc. and saw no gainz at all after trying hard at the gym.

Then I went on TRT, it all changed, kept working out, and then started to cycle on top of the TRT.

It sounds like you might be ready for TRT, although you're too young in a way.

You could do research here, see if you can restore enough of your own production (essentially do an extended PCT for a month or two) to get to at least 500, in which case you'll probably feel good enough to be able to postpone TRT for a good number of years.

The BIG problem for you with a cycle right now is that after you're done, you're back at 300, which is practically hypogonadism.

A long shot is that you have environmental or food exposure that kills your testosterone production. DHEA might help someone like you, same with Vitamin D.

Bottom line, a cycle is not your solution.

Thanks for the insight man..
Ya I'm on all the vitamins.. I thought d - aspartic was suppose to give up to a 40% increase but haven't got bloods since... Maybe I'll give dhea a shot.. Do you mean the dhea that u can buy over the counter?

Yes, DHEA is supposedly a worthwhile supplement if you're natty - although useless if you're on TRT since TRT replaces that part of your endo system.

I say supposedly worthwhile since I'm not sure if it's really effective - but my TRT doc had me take 25mg per day. I eventually stopped after I had been on TRT for a year or two, since it struck me as pointless for someone on exogenous test who is also down-managing E2 via AI. But maybe it works for a natty.

I'm skeptical of supplements in the area of assisting testosterone production. I take some others that I know are outstanding (flushing niacin for example), but my best supplements come in 10ml vials from Alpha-Pharma. :)

Edit: apologies to OP, I didn't even realize that this was a mast thread - sorry.
@Bohns - start your own thread - give us all your details there, and take it from there.

LOL.. My bad! Sorry for going off topic bro's.

I am also 40 and on TRT. I just started my Mast-Blast at 1000mg Mast E last week. Then jumping down to 500mgs/week. Also running 200mgs Cyp & 275mg Sus/week, all for 12 weeks. Body fat is not under 10% yet but feel like I can diet down to see the Mast effects before the end of the cycle. Might throw in some Tren E yet, but not sure if I want to feel like Tony Soprano, breathing heavily every time I walk up a short flight of stairs lol.

Fuckin Tren... its makes me feel the opposite of how I look.

So is it impossible to do any cardio on tren then? Haha sounds rough..

Yeah, last time I tren'd I would start breathing heavy from changing channels on my Kodi device... I would breath heavily while thinking about breathing heavily... I called my bank (which induced heavy breathing) and the female rep called me a pervert and hung up on me... Thanks Tren

Hahaha Damn! Sounds like something I need to try!

Lol... I thought the heavy breathing was a myth, but 4 weeks into my last tren cycle I felt it hard.

I am excited to see what happens with the Drostanolone E though, I have never had the pleasure of "feeling" it in my bloodstream.
