As I previously stated via email, our brewer must have used guaiacol in this batch (obvious now, with these results).
He said the raws weren’t dissolving easily so he added a few drops. Moving forward, he won’t be adding it in any products unless it’s already stated. If it’s absolutely unavoidable, I told him to make sure he notes the Lot# so we can keep a solid record of which batches contain it.
It’s unfortunate that we had this sort of misstep in the first place but thank you for bringing it to our attention. This will certainly help us to improve.

What batches are these?
Is it normal for NPP at this dosage/ml to have guaiacol? I know this is on the higher end per ml

No it's not. Which is what is kinda concerning. It only takes 23%bb in hold npp 200. So either bad raws or a brewer who is rushing to finish batches and is using guac instead of time and moderate heat. I'm guessing the latter. Because there is no way a major ugl is struggling to find quality raws when there are so many.
