MCT oil Help

Is there a certain type of mct oil i need to use? there's filtered, fractionated etc.
can just use mct oil from the health food store and filter it of course.

I don't want to hijack the thread much but it's still on topic I suppose so I'll ask here.

What is the 60/40 split some MCT oils advertise? "Filtered... MCT contains 60% Caprylic Acid and 40% Capric Acid"

Don't use fractionated, use only 100% pure. Many people, myself included, have at least a slight allergic reaction to the fractionated variety. I initially had no reaction, but several weeks in I started getting slight swelling and soreness at the injection site.

As far as I know, the greatest risk is an allergic reaction. If its only for yourself, test your reaction before brewing.

Isnt MCT oil pretty close to Miglyol 840, only the MCT is thicker?

I know that mct is thicker than mct although I am not sure how close they are related. I got some real mig before and it was amazing how thin it is. Only problem is that real mig is hard to find.

I have a boat load of it, bought from Cremer holding facility myself. I have never used MCT but wont use anything but Mig.

I had some from peter cremer its definetly the best to brew with. I never experienced any pip with it and neither did anyone who tried my brew. It was thin like water and held some high concentration blends without any need for excess solvents.
