Not your best option...boiling may kill the bacteria, but tap water has different levels of minerals, chemicals, and who knows what...use BW.

Raisin, I did a post a while back on how to make bacteriostatic water for the purpose you need.
Just go up top and type bacteriostatic water in the search for this forum, and you'll get what you need.

get some ditilled water boil that for about 15 min put it into a steril container add a few drops of BA and use that
