Most Important

Lots of people think the most important factor to getting huge is the precise angle of the bench or the way you supinate your arms when doing shoulder raises.
I want to know what you think the percentages are on truly getting huge NOT including AS. Just what you think the percentages are as far as diet and training are concerned. I think its about 25% training specific and 75% diet.
feel free to critique. what i mean by this is that as long as you go to the gym and train hard either higher reps to lean up or low reps for bulk you have accomplished the big one. I think consistency in goin to the gym is the most important and that you shouldnt swear the minor things. am i wrong?

Yes, consistantly training is obviously important.

The most important part of training is squatting correctly. I can't emphasize this enough. Pick a good squatting routine (JS's routine, HST, Super Squats, WSB) that was written by a competent coach (JS, Louie Simmons, Bryan Haycock, Rippletoe) and that has been PROVEN by hundreds or even thousands of athletes.

Everything else is just icing on the cake, as JS would say.

a good squatting routing will add to your all around strength/weight as well right?
Correct.

I agree Freddy that squatting is super important. But IMO, even bigger than that is simply being consistent going to the gym over a long period of time.

i definately think consistency is the most important. and it should probably be a consistent goal. i keep screwing up with trying to bulk for 4 weeks then trying to cut for 4 weeks etc. now older and wiser i am going to pick one and stick to it for a while.
