So glute PIP is definitely not as bad as quad PIP. Today I learned...

Going to give delts a try tomorrow with a 23g 1" pin.

Winstrol and a load of other Astro gear should be landing soon, I'm not yet sure if I'll add any of it into this cycle or not. I know the prevailing opinion is to keep your first cycle simple, but damn if it's not tempting. And damn am I not looking forward to going back on a cut.

Not to sound like a little bitch, but it was pretty bad. I think part of it was due to injecting about 3-4 inches too low though. I still got into the muscle, but I felt the PIP almost in my knee.

I'll be a bit more careful next time I work up the nerve to do quads again and let ya know how it is.
 
Injected right glute for the second time on Friday - it's now very tender, and it feels harder than my left glute. It's definitely not just plain ol' PIP, as no other site has had pain/tenderness this long after the injection. I've read about lumps forming (some people say from gear seeping into the fat, others say its just your body's reaction to the injection, and others say it could be caused by poor injection technique), and have started massaging it a good bit.

I'm not running a fever as far as I can tell (don't have a thermometer but I feel fine and dandy), and the area isn't any warmer/redder than my left glute. Anyone have any advice on how to deal with this?

At 15% bf, you might need 1.5 inches for glutes. Hard to say if you're hitting the muscle with 1 inch. Could be going Subq.

I use 1 inch for quads though. Pretty easy too if you pin the VL. Just make the "gnarly dude" hand sign with your hand and place your pinky at the end of your knee. You should be good where the thumb ends.

Just keep an eye on it. Maybe you were shaking too much, hit a nerve...etc. I don't worry about PIP as long as it's gone by the next time I pin that muscle (7 days). Massage it in the shower some. If it turns red and tender after a few more days, maybe see a doc.
 
Good luck with your first cycle man! Enjoy it..if your diet and workout is in check should be some of the best gains of your life. I like your inject protocol of the Sust, should see some good results. I think some PIP is def normally especially early on but here's some things that may help you decrease discomfort. You should typically be able to use a 25g point for almost everything these days, it's not like the old days where guys were driving nails, the smaller you can get away with the better. I think heating the oil and the muscle is also an effective way to minimize PIP. You could try a warm rag on the site for a minute or I typically go straight from a hot shower in the am. Run a hairdryer on your vials for a few seconds, you don't want it too hot but if you can handle the glass you should be fine. Make sure your going perpendicular to the tissue, it's easy esp. reaching for a glute to go in at an angle which you definitely want to avoid. Remember to push slow...don't get ahead of yourself, if you start going too fast you will know it. As far as your discomfort already I would just keep an eye on it and look for skin irritation, redness, rash, hot to the touch etc... perhaps you didn't get a deep I.M. injection and some oil either leaked out or gathered on top. A sterile abscess isn't going to be the end of the world but you should try to rotate other sites so you can keep an eye on any changes for a little while.
 
Also, a mistake I made early on was pushing the pin in too slow. I believe that was contributing to my PIP as the shaking was causing unnecessary tissue damage. Push it in quick like a dart. You don't have to immediately go all the way in with it but quick and hard enough to penetrate the skin and some of the muscle. I tend to jab quick and hard about a half inch deep for quads and then I go slow the rest of the pin so I dont jab through a nerve. Works well for me. Others might use a different technique.
 
Ahh thanks Flex. My post could have been misleading for sure thanks for clearing that up. I typically push in quickly but with my large glue and quad injections (2-3 cc) I empty the barrel slowly by pushing the plunger slow. I think Flex is on to something by saying to avoid unnecessary tearing through the tissue.

I had something similar. Red bump formed. I started pinning quads instead for 2 weeks and it went away. Might monitor for fever, but I think you'll be ok.

I did the same thing on my first quad pin too and had me terrified. No trouble since. Try stretching the skin or pushin it together when you pin quad. I saw that somewhere and it seems to help a ton with pip
 
Just finished off my first vial, a bit earlier than I expected. I'll need to be more careful when drawing.

PIP is pretty much gone, I've gotten over the virgin muscle part, and I've learned where to pin on quads and delts for zero PIP. Glutes are still a bit of a struggle when I decide to do them, but when I get them right I literally don't feel a thing.

LOL at video. Your log is real, real similar to *my first cycle ;p* that I'm fixin to run... What's goin on with weight gain/loss? U said u were gonna bulk for half cut for half? Also how do u find ur aromasin dose for controlling estrogen? It has a short half life but it seems an obvious choice of AI, on an off cycle, to me. Please update
 
I agree with the baseline labs. I would be a little concerned with my test levels if I were him. I'm in my 30's and with 4 tests run my average is higher than him. That was with no gear in 8 years. I think mine is low because i ran cycles at his age with no pct. If I was 23 and had a test level in that range, I'd get my ass to an endo.

some men have naturally high T levels, some naturally mid range and others naturally to the lower end of the range.

Weight has shot up, which I suppose I should have expected but for some reason didn't - last time I checked was a week ago and I was sitting at 194lbs. As a former uber-fatass it's a little scary to see the pounds pack on so quick, but I look in the mirror and the only change I see is bigger arms, bigger chest, bigger glutes and quads. The gut and other problem areas for me appear to be staying about the same (though I do have a bit of stomach bloat).

I missed a few doses of aromasin this past week due to life stuff, but as far as I can tell I haven't had any problems with estrogen. No gyno or anything to speak of. I'll be able to tell a little bit better after I get mid-cycle bloodwork done in the next week or two.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the results I've experienced so far. I'm lifting hard and heavy, but I'm good to go the very next day, soreness is almost nonexistent. Lifts have gone up, and I definitely look bigger. Friends and family (those who don't know about my use) make steroid jokes, which is a huge ego booster, although I don't think any of them have any idea how steroids actually work.

As far as the cut goes, I'm waiting until I can add in some other compounds. The winstrol and other Astro gear fell through, so I'm going to place another MFL order (possibly winstrol, possibly tren + mast, haven't decided yet) once some contract work I've been doing pays up, and probably start the cut after that arrives.

Fuck the scale man, ur gaining quality mass right now. I'd say just go for the gains the whole cycle, eat clean an responsibly, and cut later. U can cut whenever but u may never gain like this again... Without adding compounds and sides.. Do u feel like blood levels are stable @ eod? I'm thinkin of runnin my sust .5ml ed for only 8 weeks, havin trouble gettin domestic HCG is the reason. Anyway keep it up and keep us updated!

It's certainly tempting mate. Honestly, even though I know I'm small compared to a lot of other lifters, I feel bloody huge. The muscle is coming on so fast that my flexibility and range of motion have significantly decreased since I began the cycle. Getting shirts off after a chest and shoulder workout is quite the chore compared to six weeks ago.

This is my first cycle, so I lack any reference with which to compare how I feel on a day-to-day basis. What I can say is that, on my current pinning schedule, I haven't noticed any unusual ups and downs in mood or energy levels.
