I think you may barking up the wrong tree here. As I understand it, there is more to the HCG-testosterone interaction than a dose-reponse mechanism. As far as I understand, at the theoretical level, administering HCG can also help "re-set" your body's testosterone-production axis back to its normal default. This means that your testes would note re-atrophy once HCG therapy is withdrawn.
I would be very surprised if your body didn't eventually resume its ability to produce normal levels of testosterone. It's relatively rare that steroids permanently induce hypogonadism, and when it does happen, it almost always involves prolonged periods of massive dosing. The amount of androgel you used doesn't compare.
It sounds like you have found a doc who knows exactly what he's doing, so I think you would get more accurate answers by asking him these questions.
