my progress

Depends, if you want to do the protein thing, just cut out all carbs of any kind.

Otherwise, I'm not the guy to tell you, that's the only way I cut.

Thanks for the advice guys. Its good to know that green veggies are the ones with fiber b/c I have been eating broccolli and/or lettuce with every meal since I started bulking. I need to read up more on Nutrition Facts b/c I probably do get a ton of protein but never actually credit the natural food with as much as it actually contains.

But there is still that question of change . . .if I am already eating a high protein/fat and fiber diet while bulking, what am I supposed to change in order to start cutting? Do I keep my diet exactly the same? I should at least change my workout regiment, right? This is probably my most important question of all that I need opinions on.

I would still like to hear about anyone's experiences/suggestions/opinions on different ephedra free diet aids. Thanks guys!!

And how does that one go? UD2 or a different one?
Different than UD2. Much easier to set up, but probably not as easy to actually follow.

heh heh...

Try it once man, when you take carbs away, you have all the energy you need.

Tossing in carbs, makes you tired, screws up your system. You have to readjust to them over a couple of days. At least I get sick, if I suddently eat a bunch.

But for me, there's no easier way to cut, and not lose muscle.

I agree with you Neo. I seem to function as good or better on lower carbs. In an article somewhere that I read, Charles Poliquin estimated that about 75% of the US population does better on low carbs. About 15% do well on mixed diets and the other 10% do the best on high carbs.

huh, that's very interesting info. I'd be interested in finding out long term effects, I usually only do this once or twice a year to get ready for a season of something.

thanks man

So when I begin to cut way back on carbs should I ditch my MRPs? Each has 22g carbs and I usually have two a day. That's 44g a day, already over the limit.

Assuming you wanted to drop to 30 grams or whatever, then the answer seems pretty self evident, don't it? 44 is greater than 30, so....

Yea, it is,lol. I guess what I am wondering is do you guys know of any MRPs that have little or no carbs, or do you simply eat all natural foods and no supps. when cutting? I enjoy being able to get a full meal in a little package twice a day but when I cut I won't be able to afford the carbs that mine contains. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Ryan

Pretty much what Bob said.

I will add, however, that whole food is preferable during cutting so that you won't get as hungry which could lead to bingeing. Although, I will admit that I've been eating a lot of protein shakes recently. I sooooo goddamn sick of tuna. LOL

I recently started back up with Tuna. I hate a shit load of it this past winter bulking. Got to the point i almost got sick, literally.

I agree with the other bros. Drop your calorie intake and when taking your protein shakes ( not MRP's) mix it with water. or skim milk. 2 scoops will get you about 40grams of protein like Grizzly allready said. and no carbs.

Typically, protein powder has 1-3 g carbs/serving, so 2 scoops would be 2-6 g carbs if mixed with water. Milk has 11g carbs/ 8oz.

Yea, mine has 3 grams so it looks like I'll mixing every shake with water. God, I don't think I realized how difficult this is gonna be to cut carbs.

Good thing I still have three weeks left to bulk :D

Thanks for your help guys . . .I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

Still striving to reach 225 . . . .
