My Short Story

Hey All,
I've been lurking around the forum for a short wile and have found this group to be very informative and open about risks, rewards, and harm reduction surrounding PED usage .

Here's a shortened version of my journey through lifting and PED usage up to now. Started training around 15 years old when my short stature 5' 7" 130lbs and introverted nature led to me being picked on a lot in high school. I gained around 15lbs throughout high school, and my confidence rose along with my new found energy and obsession with lifting.

On to my 20's I shifted my focus to powerlifting and loved the reward structure progressive overload and PR's gave me. Yet that voice in the back of my head just kept say its not enough, you're still a tiny worthless man. Tooling around with research on anything bodybuilding, I discovered prohormones. The marketing sucked me in, and at the age of 25 I proceeded to do a few short oral cycles over the next couple of years. I can't remember what prohormone or combo it was, but the gains piled on quickly. But the gains were hard to keep afterwards and my endocrine system went to shit even with all the support supplements during and PCT after the fact. That's when I dove into the world of actual steroids, and went down the rabbit hole of trying to safely use them w/o fucking my hormones up even more(still happened). Did a few Test only cycles up till my 30's, when I injured myself really bad trying to hit a new PR on deadlifts. That neck injury halted my ability to train for close to a decade, along with a long bout with reoccurring major depressive disorder and anxiety.

Finally at my current age of 42, I brought up to my Dr. the possibility of low testosterone being the cause of some of my underlining symptoms. Tests came back at low 200's ng/dl and he put me on TRT. The problem is that these PCP doctors(at least this one) have no fucking clue what they are doing with this therapy. He put me on 100mg Test C every two weeks and crashed my system even worse than it was before, and even when adjusting the dosage, his "nadir" testing was to look at my levels after one week(at peek) and to keep that # at 500ng/dl. I decided to take matters into my own hands, I bought some Test C from Dragon Pharma(before I discovered Meso) and have done personal lab work to bring my actual nadir to 500ng/dl with 100mg Test C every week.

My depression has pretty much completely resolved, and I have just finished titrating off of my SNRI drug. I'm working out 3 days a week as my job allows(physically demanding construction work) and I'm back to the old clean 40/40/20(ish) diet of my bodybuilding days. I have always been cautious with any form of drug use w/o first investigating the underlining effects through studies and incidental based knowledge. I hope to further my knowledge and possibly others through discussions on this platform. Thanks

Way late, but welcome to Meso @rumpnuts !

Great introduction post. Right on for taking steps to get more involved & more control in your health care. Well done too with the SNRI adjustment.

How are you feeling now?

Cheers :D
