Today my father called me, complaining about depression, low motivation, sex drive, body aches. His doctor doesn't seem to want to help, even with getting bloodwork as he said it's "natural aging" lol. My dad doesn't want to take testosterone either at this point yet, so is there any natural supplements that can help him increase his testosterone. So far I've come up with vitamin d and zinc. Does tribulus work ? Even if he can raise his levels a bit to feel somewhat normal again, he's not looking to bodybuilding etc just a quality of life. Thanks

Ashwagandha, tongkat ali, fenugreek, boron, vitamin D, zinc and DHEA. The research on some of them are promising. But on some not so much.

- Resistance training

- Quality 8 or more hours of sleep a night

- Well balanced nutrition including 1 G of protein per pound of body weight, good fiber intake, healthy fats, covering all micronutrient needs

- Not being chronically stressed. Transient acute stress is fine but chronic stress is terrible

- Be around hot women (or dudes depending on what you're into) and sleep with them

- Competition. Competing with other men, even recreationally has been shown to his testosterone levels

The herbs and testosterone boosters are BS. Don't waste your money. On the other hand, it is worthwhile to do blood tests for vitamins and minerals and supplement any deficiencies to be in healthy range.

Do you know that Test level is his issue? Has he had a testosterone test done? If not then you're just shooting in the dark. The symptoms you are describing could be caused by many different things.

He's trying to get blood work but his family doctor isn't the best. Going to have him head to a private clinic (he's in Canada so bit harder) if it becomes a problem. But here you need 3 months just to get into see your dr. He's active, works out, still married to my mom and 70 so hot random women are out of the question lol

Well, if he's still into his wife that counts. Is it difficult to pay for and get your own blood work in Canada? I wouldn't start looking for solutions until you can identify the problems. Check his hormones, thyroid, CMP, CBC, and some of the major vitamins and minerals like iron, vitamin D, B vitamins, etc.
