Nebido - Adding BA

Hey guys,

I am doing TRT+ with Nebido (1000mg/4ml) and would prefer to split the vial (4ml) up into two injections doing 500mg (2ml) every 2 weeks. The vials do not have any antibacterial preservative (BA) because they are meant for single-use only. I'd like to add BA to the nebido to prevent any bacterial growth.

I acquired some BA in sterile vial. Do I just add 1% BA to the nebido vial using a normal syringe and needle?

I guess I'm overthinking this.

do you what 1% of 4ml is?
its a very tiny amount
one more thing, just because the ba is in a sterile vial doesnt mean its been filtered

Yes.

0.04 ml which will give you 0.9% as nebido contains a bit more than 4ml

I always filter the ba with a serynge filter before adding it to nebido vial. Heat the vial and shake well to be sure that it mixes evenly

100% BA is sterile by default. No need to filter

What kind of impurities? Since it's in a sterile vial it's filtered.

Unless it’s coming from pharma i prefer to filter. But yes should be good to go without filtering if it’s really sterile

it says single use... alot of vials will say single use...

you can draw a second time from it, it will be fine...

Bayer vials have 0% ba so it doesn't have any bacteriostatic agent in there. He could load up a 2nd syringe though

If nothing is added to grow, it should be fine.

sterile needle, sterile rubber top. nothing touches it.
I dont see how a second syringe would really make a difference tbh.

Yeah I forgot that nebido comes in a vial not an amp

Tbh in the past I did just use the vial second time without adding any antibacterial preservative and had no issues. Didn't even think about it.

Anxiety came into play once the possibility of bacterial growth was mentioned here. Deep tissue infection doesn't sound like a lot of fun.

I guess the odds are low. In my case vial would be stored 2 weeks for another injection. Still like to play it safe here.

If you have BA just add it to Nebido. Better safe than sorry.

I think it depends on the country. France is ampules i think. Netherlands and turkey for sure are vials
