need help with logging on

i am on my laptop now because i can't get past the password on my dektop. i never logoff my desktop,i only hibernate,but i logged off so i can reset everything and get all the spyware off my desktop. i remember messing with the password a few weeks ago and i don't know what i did. How do i get past the password,so i can reset it? I've seen some comps ask for passwords and i just click cancel and it lets me through,but it's not giving me that option here. i need my cable modem,this dialup is too damn slow. it might take me awhile to respond,because of the speed. thanks

If you can log on with laptop then change password there and type NEW password when you log on desktop maybe that will work...cLeRks
