Need opinions on lab test results

After using 300mg deca and 500mg test enanthate per week for four weeks, I had blood tests done. The results are :

total testosterone 2000ng/dl normal range 350-890ng/dl
sex hormone binding globulin 19nmol/L normal range 13-71 nmol/L
free testosterone 2.9% normal range 1.6-2.9 %
estradiol 55pg/ml normal range 12-45pg/ml

Normal range refers to what doctors consider normal for someone not on AAS.

I have also been taking 20mg nolvadex per day.

So, I need opinions. The testosterone level has gone up high, but is the estradiol too low? Before starting the nolvadex I didn't have much sex drive. After starting the nolvadex the sex drive went way up. So, I assumed taking it was the right thing to do. I've been wondering if I should add a little arimidex every other day, but I'm not sure how to determine if that's the right thing to do. Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm not going to change the amount of AAS I'm taking. I've used all the deca, and I'll just be using the testosterone enanthate for the rest of the cycle, which will be about 4 more weeks.

Anyone know of any way to increase the percentage of free testosterone?

I had the hematocrit and cholesterol tested also. Hematocrit is a little high and good cholesterol is a little low. I think these will return to normal after the cycle. I've always had very good cholesterol levels.

I'd appreciate any opinions, suggestions, etc. Thanks

Hey there,

I work in a Diagnostic Laboratory so I may be of some assistance. Since you're taking 500mg Test weekly it appears your free testosterone is where is should be. If you were taking double what you are now the free testosterone levels would be much higher. Have you noticed strength or size gains yet? Let me know I'm curious on how your progress is going from the AAS.

Also, when it comes to bodybuilding a little bit high hematocrit isn't anything to worry about. AAS often does interesting things to blood results. Hematocrit is the percentage of red blood cells in a given sample of blood. The more red blood cells the more hemoglobin will be circulating to feed your muscles/tissues the oxygen needed. As long as it's not extrememly high I wouldn't worry about it. You're right in assuming your Hematocrit and Cholesterol levels will return to normal when you're cycle is complete.

As for your estradiol. This is touchy will you're on AAS and I don't know much about it to give you good advice. Hopefully someone else on here can help you out. As for your worries about taking Arimidex, I don't think you'll need it since you're already taking 20mg Nolvadex.

Ji,

What do you think if his 'total testosterone' levels? do you think they agree with 500mg test/week?

Also, I assume the nandrolone does not affect this 'total test' level...? -ES

Those values are right in line with the doses you took. The Deca doesn't count in the total test level. Your estradiol is high because Test aromatises to estrogen-like compounds as it is metabolized. Your SHBG is low because the androgenic effect of deca and testosterone lower the production of this protein by the liver; this is good because testosterone bound to this protein is not biologically active.

Don't worry that the "free" testosterone is "only" 2.9%. Assuming you have normal liver and renal function and a normal albumin serum level, your bioavailable testosterone is about 1600 ng/dl or roughly twice that of a normal human male.

Thanks for your advice and information. I have had size and strength gains. Not as much as I expected, but certainly more that if I were not using the AAS. I haven't paid enough attention to diet, so I think that's why the gains haven't been what they should have been. I'm now recording everything I eat, tracking amounts of protein, carbs, fat, and calories, and enjoying eating alot more so I consume about 4500 calories per day.
