could someone give me a couple of exercises for the outside chest area where it connects to the arm...always been problem area for me...dont do much freeweights due to previous injuries but will try them if it helps the developement..thanks bigvx5

All kinds of presses using a wide grip and flyes. Dumbbells are good but you should opt for barbells at this time.

Keep in mind your chest is composed of 2 muscles, the pec major and the pec minor. You can shift the stress medially up or down depending on pressing angle, but you cannot specifically target your "outer" or inner pecs bc they dont exist. The myth that flys build the outside is exactly that. You also cannot change the shape of a muscle, its genetic and what you got is what you got. You can make it bigger and that's about it, that's why some BB still have gaps in their mid chest with 57+ inch chest all you can do it build it up beyond a blaring discrepency with mass and cut that fat off.

With that being said, pec delt tie in's........take a wild guess.
Heavy free weight pressing movements, specifically at inclination which is going to bring the ant delts into more weight bearing. Press press press. What if I told you about a study with electrodes across the entire chest/shoulder girdle area that showed there was 200% chest activation when doing a pressing movement than a fly, which is borderline 50% rotator cuff anyways if you are doing an actual fly, and not fly/press like most do. I can link you to a great article in which Cutler disects his entire chest routine (his weakest self proclaimed bodypart) and how he relearned flys's, but only does them in the OFFSEASON:eek:
Press Press Press.

Heavy incline bb presses did it for me. I coupled the heavy inclines with a decent amount of overhead bb smith presses, and that got me some decent growth. On chest day start with incline BB, go with a wide grip, and add more weight often. The Flyes and stuff are good as well, I just found pushing my inclines to the max worked better for me. Good Luck!

I would say where the "chest connects with the arm" your refering to you anterior delt / pec, front DB raises, incline press, incline DB flies, cardio. note these can be done on both chest and shoulder day depending on how heavy you go.

IMO

I like what everbody has said. Do not forget to stretch and hold between sets. Do this at an incline and horizontal and hold, do not bounce.
