Needle issue

Alright, I ordered needles that were supposed to be in today...
21g 1inch, 25g 1 1/2inch, and 3cc syringes.

Long story short, they aren't in today, and I have to take my shot. All I've got is 21g 1inch needles. Is this enough to do an IM injection? I got a bubble-butt, so I don't think it's long enough for there... should I go for the thigh?
(I don't mind using a 21g needle on my thigh)

Well it is not the butt but higher and around to the side a little. Someone posted and link on shots here look for it it shows pictures.

Go for the theigh! It is a tough one, but you can do it. I've done the theigh 3x now and injection day is tomorrow Remember to push it in quick.

screw pushing it in quick...........until he figures out where those nerves are i would take things slow.......when i push the needle in slow i don't feel anything at all and it gives me time to respond if i hit a nerve...delts are the best place to inject......... no pain no bleeding........NOTHING......there great...and u get to use a tiny tiny needle..............

I was pushing it in slowly into my theigh, but then my theigh was sore for about 4 days afterward. I took the advice about pushing it in quickly and it was only sore for about a day.

I guess everyone is different. If it works for you then great. Glute injections are never sore for me, but I am always worried I don't get a good intramuscular injection.

Kroms-> Why don't you go to any Walgreens or CVS ? ... you should'nt have a problem.

Missed your post. I wasn't around the computer but I just went to Walgreens
today and got about twenty 22 1.5". also got some insulin syringes, total was
around 8 bucks.

21g cannons are going to hurt no matter how fast or slow you push it.

I use 25g in the quad. I push slow and never once had a problem or soreness except once when I pushed through a vein.

yea don't use 21gauge.........it would be like hitting yourself with a harpoon......... use a 23-25 and just warm it up in your hand b4 injection..........

Just curious....did you mis-type that? 25G and 1/2"?? Even on the thigh that will barely be into the muscle. Are you intending to use them on the delts or are you just that skinny? (wish I was!)

Hmm... I've been using 22g 1" on the theigh and 22g 1.5" on the glutes. Next time I need syringes I will get the 25g ones.

Speaking of switching, I just went from 26G 3/8" for HCG to 31G 3/8" and I LOVE THEM!!! Can't feel a damn thing. Not even a sllight pinch when it first pierces the skin. THESE THINGS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Ok, guess that's enough. But I love em. Best 12 bucks I've spent so far!

LOL... check this out... NONE of the pharmacies within tolerable driving distance had anything that was longer than an inch! I even called the hospital and begged a guy I used to know to hook me up. He couldn't, and I wouldn't want to get him in trouble. It was a saturday and all the docs offices were closed... so I was stuck with a 23g 1inch ... my wife injected me cause I'm a big pussy, and she did really well (she likes doing them). Infact, I wasn't sore at all after the shot, or even the next day.

I've heard the delt shot is a great one... but I've got no balls (well very small one's anyway). It's either thigh or glute from here on out.

The one drawback to 25g needles is that it takes a long time and a lot of pressure to draw the 1/2 cc of oil needed for the injection. Some guys draw with a heavy gauge needle and then replace it with a smaller one.
